To Whom it May Concern,

My name is Erin Haefeli, and I am writing this letter of reference and recommendation for Courtney Reeder. Courtney is pursuing her dream of adopting a precious child to raise as her own. My purpose in this letter is to highlight the wonderful person that she is, her amazing capacities, and examples of her character. As you read this, I hope that my words are perceived well and that you can truly receive a sense of who Courtney is.

I have known Courtney for roughly 4 years. She became my daughter’s stepmom back in 2021; I have three daughters. At that time, my daughters were primarily living with their father. I instantly loved who Courtney was! I could tell that she genuinely loved my children as her own and loved being a mother. Her love and care were greatly needed at that time for my daughters. My daughters had recently seen their father and I divorced and that transition was very difficult for them. I was confident that Courtney was creating that loving home and safe space for them early on and throughout the years.

She and I became very good friends in 2023, as she confided in me that things were not going well with her and her husband. He had become very abusive and needed help navigating what was happening. As our friendship grew, we supported one another and the children during another painful divorce and an extremely scary time. She selflessly returned my daughters to me to protect them from their father, she successfully got herself, my daughters, and her son out of a dangerous situation.

From the experiences that we have shared, I have learned how strong Courtney is as an individual. She is successful in her occupation, a loving mother to her son, as well as to my daughters, a devout Christian woman, brave, hardworking, driven, self-motivated, and a wonderful friend. I have seen her raise not only my daughters, but her son, over the past 4 years and have been absolutely amazed at the love, care and nurture that she gives.

I can confidently say that she is more than ready, more than committed, and more than capable of raising another beautiful child through adoption. I am confident that whoever she adopts will be blessed beyond measure and grow up in a very loving and safe home. I appreciate you taking the time to read my words.
