They enjoy attending church. Our youngest enjoys doing Trail life with Richard on Tuesdays(Trail life is like a Boy scouts program based in Christian values and outdoor adventures). We all enjoy swimming as a family, playing board games and card games, games as a family (Mario party and Mario kart) R is our oldest and he lives part time with us part time with his father. He is a very smart individual and sometimes blows me away with the math he knows, he enjoys Japanese culture like animes, sushi, and especially Godzilla he also enjoys reading the bible. Our youngest W is equally smart and picks up concepts really well. He enjoys reading the bible and playing board games, and playing minecraft with me. Both our boys are very kind and compassionate boys who like taking care of our cat Leo. Leo will be 1 on May 6. There is never a shortage of things to laugh about and have fun doing. INTRO LETTER
Dear Donor Family,
First and foremost we want to let you know that we are praying for you, whoever you are! We know that infertility is not easy and whatever led you to IVF and then donation is a hard path and we are keeping you in our prayers from here on out!
Before meeting my husband I had had 2 children and was a single mom and done having children. So I had my tubes removed thinking I would never marry again and never again want another baby. Then I met my Jesus in 2023 and changed my perspective. I knew that a man who loved Jesus as much as I do is out there and I would marry him someday. April 2025 I married that man. Since then I have sincerely been praying and hoping that we would know what to do. We didn't want to do IVF because we knew that there are so many embryos waiting for life and we want to try to give life to 1-2 of them.
We are a fun Jesus loving and God fearing family and believe that a child or two would come into our family and bless us and we know that we would bless them. We volunteer at our Church in many capacities. My Husband is working toward becoming a deacon and we volunteer on the audio and visual team together. I also am on the Women's ministry team as Childcare coordinator and Cohospitality coordinator. We attend almost any bible study and event our church hosts faithfully. This includes a Thursday night Women's Bible study(which I attend every other week, and do childcare for the bible study the weeks I am not attending.) The weeks I attend my husband volunteers in childcare. We go to a biweekly bible study on fridays, a small group biweekly on sundays, and a parenting small group on the fridays the bible study isn't meeting. I also attend the women's events over the summer, and my husband is currently doing discipleship with one of the elders, we also attend any random pop up bible studies and most events we can make it to. Our church and our church family is a huge part of our lives.
Our parenting is so important to us and we put great efforts into making sure that we do family worship together 3-5 times a week, we do board game nights, movie nights, attend our children's activities and make sure we are reading books and listening to podcasts on parenting as we always seek to improve our parenting and make sure we are parenting well and turning our children to Christ.
I work as a Mathematics paraprofessional at a vocational highschool and am currently working on my teaching license to teach middle school mathematics. My husband works with Developmentally delayed adults at a day program.
We try to seek new ways to serve the church and serve our neighbors and look for oppurtunities to show our children responsibility, and compassion towards other people.
Most of the photos we will include will be of our church family as that is where we spend a majority of our time. We also have very loving and close relationships with my MIL and FIL as well as my BIL and his girlfriend, we try to have sunday dinner over there as often as possible. My MIL and FIL are wonderful grandparents to our children and have never made them feel like they aren't really family despite them being my husbands stepchildren. My FIL when we told them we were starting this journey joked that the stroller should have a good shock system and the diaper ergonomic so he can work in the garden with the children and bring them on walks. They are both very involved in our childrens lives and this would be no different with the children we have from embryo adoption. We have a very close relationship with my brother and his wife who are so excited to potentially have more nephews and nieces to play with and adore. My family and us are very close and have some sort of family get together once a month where aunts uncles, cousins etc all come together to celebrate any birthdays or holidays that month.
Our family enjoys the outdoors and enjoys campfire, camping, hiking, fishing, swimming etc and will take any oppurtunity to enjoy the outdoors to see what God has created and blessed us with. We are a foodie family and enjoy any and all foods, our children have been enjoying things like sushi, goat cheese, pho, udon, chinese food, italian food, etc etc since they were young and our family rule is you have to take at least 2 bites before you say you don't like something.
I know this was alot to read but we really wanted to give you an idea of who we are and what really matters to us.
Sincerely R and A
REFERENCE LETTER 1
To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to highly recommend R & A as they seek to participate in the embryo adoption program that you oversee.
My wife and I had the pleasure of providing pre-marital counseling to R & A earlier this year. The preparation materials were demanding and required time and study commitments. We found them both to be genuine, deliberate, and focused as we reviewed the materials together and facilitated discussions on topics covering family finance, intimacy, parenting, theological commitments, conflict resolution and more. The foundation of love they clearly have for one another was key to their determination to plan well for a rich and meaningful marriage and family life together. Together, they lovingly parent two boys to whom they dedicate their time and attention and are mindful of the weight of that responsibility as they seek to shepherd these boys through faithful leadership and example.
R&A are dependable church members who clearly find joy in serving the Lord and the community of our shared faith. They are encouragers, they are good huggers, and they add to the warmth of our fellowship.
I happily recommend this dear couple without reservation. If I may assist you further, kindly reach me placaire@fastmail.com.
Sincerely,
Patrick Lacaire
REFERENCE LETTER 2
I have known A for decades and R for a couple of years. They are both deeply
committed to their marriage and family. They love each other and they work together even in
hard times. One of the things that encourages me most about their parenting is their willingness
to learn and answer their shortcomings. It is very common for people to live in cycles of the
same mistakes or to refuse the advice of others. But because they desire to be faithful parents
they continue to work hard to grow personally and as parents. They also have consistently put
themselves in community with good parents and families where they can learn from one another
and encourage each other.
Additionally, I have watched how their faith has given them a sense of purpose and
meaning in their life. They recognize family as a precious gift from God. They see their job as
parents to be caretakers and guardians of the kids that God has given them. Also, they do a
great job as parents of talking to their kids. They ask them questions and let their kids ask
questions in return and I think this has helped shape their kids into thoughtful people who seek
to understand the world around them and to live well within it. I would encourage you to have
every confidence in them as a good family for more children to be raised in.
REFERENCE LETTER 3
We have known R and A for a couple years and it has been a joy to watch them date,
marry, and parent together. They are committed to their faith and that bleeds into
every aspect of their lives, especially their marriage and parenting. We have seen
their great love for their children in how hard they work to provide for them. They
are not afraid to do the hard things, including working extra hours, admitting and
correcting mistakes, and seeking wisdom from other seasoned couples and parents
in order to give their children everything that they need and more. As a stepfather,
R showed from the very beginning that shared genetics have nothing to do with how
deeply one can love a child. He loves his stepsons as if they were his own flesh and
blood and is committed to their good just as much as he would be to biological
children. He is a hard worker who desires to provide for his family well, even if that
means long hours at work or sacrificing his own desires to ensure their needs are
met. A was a single mom for many years and that experience, hard as it was, has
grown her into a strong individual who is willing to work hard and be a strong
advocate for her children. Adding another child into a home is not an easy task but
R and A have shown through their lives that they are equal to the task. They
earnestly desire to be able to pour their love out on another child and give him/her
a safe and loving home that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to
experience.
