As we sit to write this letter our hearts are bursting with excitement and hope, mostly because we know exactly how much love and joy a new addition to our family will bring.

 

How we met

We met on yahoopersonal.com about eighteen years ago and started dating, but told people we met at a “Happy Hour event” for years, because it wasn’t “cool” to use dating sites back then! (lol). And, although no marriage is perfect, we’ve now been married for 14 years and navigated the ups and downs of life together, stronger for the partnership.

 

Becoming a family

When we had our biological son ten years ago, we had no idea how fulfilling having a child would be. Now that we know how rich life can be as a family, our only regret is not starting a family sooner…

 

Challenges growing our family

[Her name] struggles with age-related infertility. When our son was only four, we started down the path of public adoption and fostering. But, ultimately realized that was not a good option for our family. A couple years later, we considered private adoption, but at the time were looking to relocate during COVID and the timing wasn’t right. This year, we renewed our efforts to grow our family and learned about embryo adoption. This solution seems to tick all the boxes!

 

Our community

We are well-established in our careers, family and community. As such, we have many resources available to us to be able to provide a multitude of enrichment opportunities for our children. In particular, we participate in the PTO, local recreation leagues, and martial arts.

We live one of THE TOP school districts in our state. The local elementary school is a 3-minute scooter ride from our house within the safe confines of our community. We are so lucky to have direct access to hiking and biking trails, community pools and four stocked fishing ponds complete with fountains, again, all within our community!

 

Family Life

Travel is our passion! We take about two vacations a year and as a family have been to Hawaii twice, London innumerable times, Paris, Rome, Athens, Santorini, and Mexico (as well as many places in the USA).

Other favorite things to do are go out to eat, go to the movies, hike, play basketball, visit family, and our son and his dad love to play video games together.

 

Our parenting priorities

[His name] is an executive who works from home 40% of the week and [her name] is an entrepreneur who sold her business in 2019. Since then, she has been a stay-at-home mom who sometimes does contract work as an interior designer.

As parents, it is very important to us that our children learn the value of hard work and discipline along with the values of social responsibility and kindness. We think it’s important to educate children explicitly on the value of earning, saving and investing their money and give our son the opportunity to learn and exercise all three.

We’re both very active and healthy. We enjoy working out, eating healthily and are careful to set a good example and high standard for our son’s health and well-being also. We stay fit and healthy so that we can FULLY enjoy grandchildren when the time comes!

 

Bottom line

Bottom line, we want our kids to have EVERY opportunity to fulfill their own talents and interests and are happy to provide that for them. You’re looking for a wonderful home and future for the embryos you were so blessed to be able to create and we’re looking to share our love and lives with another child in our family.
