Dear angel donor,

First off thank you for being our miracle. Without your kindness,selflessness, and willingness to help families conceive I do not believe that I would be able to become a mother. Your donation is our last hope and we could never thank you enough for your donation. My journey to conceive started when I was in my later twenties and it continued for approximately 10 years. During these 10 years I went to several doctors, fertility clinics, consumed different medications and no one could diagnosis me with any reason why I could not conceive. I made assumptions that my career as a police officer/military was stressing me out to much and causing me to not get pregnant. I deployed during these 10 years with the military which I knew would cause a delay in my conception process. I also made assumptions that the partners I was with just weren’t the right ones and that was a sign for me. I took a break and honestly lost hope. I focused on me and did a lot of research and decided to start a new journey and process.

About 4 years ago I had a dream about being a mother and the dream was so vivid and real and I have continued to have this dream multiple times. I began IUI insemination and all attempts failed. I tracked my ovulation down to a T and still no baby. In June of this year my partner and I decided this would be our last round of IUI and we would stop trying, until my partner came to me with a story she read about a family who did embryo adoption. We continued to read and do research and we scheduled our consultation with Embryo Solutions. The consultation was everything we have been wanting. Our consultation specialist was such an amazing person. She understood me like she was in my body. She answered all of my questions. She broke down the process and was so helpful. We began our application and questionnaire just a few days after our consultation. All of our background checks and paper work were complete and then our dreams came true. We were able to start meeting our potential embryo donors and we could not be more happy.

I am of puerto rican descent and I come from a family of 5 siblings. I am the 4th youngest in the family. My mother is still living, however our relationship is not as strong as most mother, daughter relationships are. My father passed away in May of last year and he was my strength to get through the hard times. I truly wanted him to be able to meet his grandchildren, but this journey has been more lengthy and difficult than ever anticipated. All of my siblings have children and I just know and feel this is my time to add to our family. I have a very strong support system with my partner, her family and close friends who I have known for more than 20 years. We talk almost daily, go on trips together, and I am the god mother to many of their children and feel so blessed to be apart of their lives.

C, my partner is the youngest sibling of 2. She comes from many different ethnicities, mainly German and Native American. She has a very close relationship with her mother, father, and her older sister. Her grandmother is also still living and they’re very close. She has a tight friend circle and has known her friends for almost 10 years. C has always wanted to be a mother but worked hard to accomplish her college degree, and obtain a successful career before trying to start a family. She joined the military at a young age and spent many of her early twenties training to become an officer in the Army. Whenever there are get togethers she always has a baby in her arms or is the one to run around the playground with the young ones. She has such a sweet nurturing soul and to have her by my side to raise our children is my honor and I know I couldn’t have chosen a better women.

C and I have great communication, we learn about each other everyday, and continue to explore each others personalities and daily ways of living. We come from family backgrounds of divorces and we don’t want to fall into that statistic. We have plans to get married and have committed to one another to live happily ever after through the differences and frustrations. We have both endured toxicity and instability within our own previous relationships and agreed together that we would not display any of those traits within our own relationship.

My partner and I have been in a committed relationship for a little over eight years we have 2 dogs, that are beyond spoiled (Tyson and Kona). My partner and I share a lot of the same hobbies . We are big into fitness and health and work really hard to maintain a healthy diet, and work out regularly which helps relieve the stresses that may come from our jobs. We like to spend a lot of time with our family and friends and god children. Kayaking, being on the beach, enjoying nature and exploring new places are just some of the things we do together. I enjoy cleaning, cooking and scrapbooking as well. My partner enjoys video games, watching sports especially football, and being outdoors fishing, camping or just sitting around a good bonfire eating her smores of course.

My partner and I are both police officers with a speciality in investigations. I am a detective who deals with the youth and have a privilege of helping kids everyday. We both hold bachelor’s degrees, and we own our home. We are both Christian’s and attend church regularly. We truly believe that god has his hands in this journey and ultimately brought us to this matching process to find our angel donors.

One might think that being police and military that we are never home, but that is quite the opposite. We are very established and stable within our jobs enough to make our own schedule work for us. We make sure we spend plenty of quality time with eachother especially since we do have two pups. Having children in our home would not change at all. We will always make time for our kids and make sure they have all the love and attention in the world. I have plans of retiring early from the police force and military to start my own small business which would be less demanding of my time and makes room for me to be home with the kids until its time for school.

C, is very much in love with her career, however, having children is the ultimate priority for her and is very much supportive of me being a stay at home mom. C and I are finanically stable and we have enough support from our friends and family to help us anytime we need. This journey is about the both of us and we truly do make sure that we listen and respect eachothers decisions.

Donor angel, thank you for being you and thank you again for not just being the donor of our first born child, but for being our miracle for us to be able to offer a life of love. We are grateful every single day for the things we have and the opportunities provided to us, but there is nothing we will be more grateful for than you two. You’re our true unicorn and the maker of our dreams.
