Thank you for being willing to share a truly special gift with us. We are excited about expanding our family and are delighted to share our story with you. [His name] and I started dating in 2011 and were married in 2016. [His name] comes from a big family and has 4 older siblings as well as 10 nieces and nephews. On our very first date, he mentioned a few funny stories about babysitting his nieces and nephews over the years and I was immediately smitten! I am an only child but loved the idea of joining a large family and of eventually raising a child with [His name].

At the time that we met, I was training to become a cardiologist, and [His name] was preparing to go to graduate school to become a librarian. During the early part of our marriage, we were in a long-distance relationship and starting our family was unexpectedly delayed. Once we were living together, I had to deal with several challenges with endometriosis and shortly thereafter, the COVID pandemic began. Nevertheless, we remained focused on our desire to expand our family and embarked on an IVF journey that, unfortunately, wasn’t successful.

In the midst of these challenges, we have leaned on each other and on a belief in miracles. We believe that we are meant to welcome a little miracle into our family and also know that our pug, Percy, will make a protective “big brother” to our future child. Percy joined our family in 2022, and we moved into a new home with a yard for him, the following year. Our neighborhood is filled with other families and is close to beautiful parks, museums and historic sites. We both have jobs that allow us to work from home at times, and we really value spending quality time together. As a family, we love playing with Percy outdoors, traveling to the mountains and the beach and exploring new restaurants—serving everything from tacos to Thai food!

 

Being able to welcome a child into our family would mean so much because we have so much love to share. Our future child will join a large extended family with loving grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. We would be honored and grateful if you would consider helping us on our miraculous journey to parenthood.
