How many kids do you have?
3

7, 6, 3

Yes
Tell us about your children. What do they like to do for fun?
Our kids love spending time as a family, whether that's traveling, playing sports together, or going on adventures. When we're home, the girls tend to play family, taking turns being the mom and baby. Or, J gets in the mix and their game of choice lately is tag or follow the leader (their invented version of tag). They are always on the go and having fun.

INTRO LETTER
Hi!
Thank you for taking the time to read through our profile. We hope that this gives you a glimpse into us, our children, and our lives.
When we started down the path of creating our family, we always knew that adoption would be part of our family building. But, we also anticipated having biological children. We had high hopes, and had no reason not to expect that in a few years’ time biology and adoption would allow us to create our family.
As it turns out, our traditional efforts to conceive were unsuccessful. So, in 2013, we began IVF with daily, sometimes multiple times per day, injections of hormones, taking pills, going to the doctor every morning. It was painful, time intensive, and expensive. But, it was all worth it when it gave rise to our two “minis” being implanted. We were heartbroken when those minis failed to thrive and, thus, wouldn’t be part of our future. We never anticipated that as the possible outcome of IVF.
We gave IVF one more go with another clinic and more hormones. Yet, once again, our efforts were unsuccessful, presumbly because of egg quality.
What those infertility challenges reinforced for us, however, was our desire to focus on adoption, exclusively. To date, we have gone through three traditional adoption processes. They have had their own difficulties, we are so thankful for our family. All of the trials and tribulations have been worth it, as we have grown from our experiences and are even more solid as a family because of them. The traditional adoption process first led us to J, who just turned 7 in December; A, who turned 6 in April; and M, who will turn 4 in September.
We always knew that we would have 4 children together, and we started our 4th traditional adoption journey in 2021. That journey has been long and excruciating, as there seem to be less and less birth mothers and more and more waiting families. Earlier this year, we started to explore embryo adoption to complete our family building, and we have fallen in love with the idea.
In all of our traditional adoptions, it has been nerve wracking being concerned about prenatal exposure you're not quite sure your children are being subjected to. For our children, it appears that they all had this challenge, and we've had to be very proactive to make sure that any challenges resulting from that exposure are, essentially, neutralized.
As we started to look into embryo adoption, it became obvious that this is one startling benefit of adoption at the embryo stage: we will know from the moment of transfer that the child will be well taken care of and nurtured throughout the pregnancy and into birth. It will be such a remarkable experience for our children, as well, to be able to be part of that process and see this new little baby come into the world (something else the traditional adoption process has not been able to provide for us).
Our kiddos are already invested in us adding a fourth child to our family. They don't know the nuances of embryo adoption, but they constantly ask when their new sibling will arrive. They are already great siblings to each other, I know that they will be just as loving and nurturing to their new brother or sister.
We hope that we can provide this for them and complete our family.
With love,
[Her name] and [His name]

To Whom It May Concern,
I first met [Her name] and [His name] when our boys started kindergarten together a couple of years ago. They’re now about to enter 2nd grade together!
What began as casual acquaintances turned into fast friends, and we regularly go on adventures together: most recently seeing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and fishing on the lake. Although I did have to step in and unhook one of J fish for [Her name], we love this time together and can’t wait to see what new adventures lie ahead. We always have such fun with their family.
Through these adventures, and just spending time together, I’ve really gotten to know [Her name] and [His name], and their three amazing kids. They are proud and engaged parents, always trying to include everyone in the fun and making sure to have their special family traditions. My son loves seeing their family calendar to see what new tradition might join the others: Saturday movie night, ice cream Sunday, and Treasure Box Fridays. He gets a kick out of them, and we have even incorporated some of them into our own home! They are close with their families who live both near and far and always plan wonderful family vacations together.
[Her name] is such a good mom and is a loving and caring friend. She is always quick to offer her help, if I need it, and I know she’ll always be there if my son needs something. I don’t hesitate to leave my son with her, as I know he’ll be in good hands. She is active at our elementary school and is a wonderful planner and event organizer. She’s always the first to volunteer to make things extra special for our school community and neighborhood.
[His name] is a very hands-on dad. He is always up for our adventures and is a true partner to [Her name]. And he’s also great at folding all the laundry and grocery shopping too. The kids adore him and he is engaged in our community and involved with all the kids activities.
I know they’ve been on their journey to add a fourth child to their family for quite some time, and I am so thrilled and honored to be part of that process with this letter. I whole heartedly endorse them to parent a fourth child! I know they will continue to be amazing parents to that new addition.
Sincerely,
B
REFERENCE LETTER 2
Aug. 20, 2023,
To Whom It May Concern,
[Her name] and I met 22 years ago when we were both starting law school. I’ve seen her go through so many phases of life: as we both began our careers as lawyers, finding [His name], and starting, and now raising, a family. As a result of our long relationship, I’ve been a referral for her many times over the years as she has expanded her amazing family.
I regularly enjoy visits with [Her name] and her crew, and most recently, I had a chance to spend the day with them at a great summertime street festival. The kids were excited to check out everything, and I was so amazed not just to see how fast they are growing but what amazing little people they are becoming. I know this has a lot to do with how much love and energy [His name] and [Her name] put in to raising them.
While this is amazing, it is hardly surprising. Ever since our first meeting, I’ve never known [Her name] to undertake any endeavor halfway. She always pours her heart and soul into what she does, and that’s absolutely the way she’s approached motherhood. She is loving, caring, and understanding, and she puts her all into being a mom.
[His name] is an equally amazing father and human being. He is so involved with the kids, always there tag teaming with [Her name] to make sure the kids are happy and well taken care of. His patience and dedication to his family have always made the hugest impression on me. Together, they continue to be an impressive parenting duo!
I’m excited to be involved with [Her name] and [His name] on their fourth and final journey. I know they’ll continue to be great parents and give just as much love and attention to this child as they do J, A, and M. Whoever they ultimately are matched with, I can say from my own experiences with this family that this will be one very fortunate child, surrounded by love and laughter.
Sincerely,
S

To Whom I May Concern,
I met [His name] and [Her name] in 2010. We met each other when they decided to renovate their first home, and we have been family friends ever since. I have watched each of their adoption journeys, and have been happily involved in the process, as an honorary “Tio.” Their family is truly a beautiful one, and I love being a part of it!
[His name] is one of the best guys that I know. He is such a loving friend, and he always gives me such great advice about my business. I truly look at him as a mentor. It is rare to meet and make one of your best friends as I have with [His name] and am fortunate to have had him in my life ever since meeting him. What helped to make that happen was how well he treated our construction team who is mainly from the country of Mexico. Sometimes, while unfortunate, we have seen other clients not treat them the same as myself or other members of our team that may look more like them instead of from another country. I noticed that [His name] treated everyone from our team with respect, asking them how they are, how their families are, and being genuinely interested. Each of my team members jumps at the opportunity to interact with [His name] and [Her name] because of this.
[Her name] is such a committed mom, making sure the kids always have what they need, while still running her own business and partnering with [His name] to keep the house in order. [her name] has been through a lot in their adoptions, 3 prior, including spending weeks at each location out of state, securing housing, and even weeks in a row in the NICU being there with their newborns with them in her arms to help make sure they are ok. [His name] would send me daily update pictures for each of their 3 adoptions and most of them involved [Her name] in the hospital to help be the amazing mother that she is.
J, A, and M are truly amazing, and they will be the best big siblings. J is such a character, always cracking me up. A is so caring and empathetic. She already goes out of her way to teach her little sister M how to be a great person. M, the baby of the bunch, is the cutest thing. She is as independent as they come, and so free spirited. She absolutely loves babies, and she always asks when her little brother or sister is joining the bunch.
[His name] & [Her name] make a great team, not only as a married couple, but also as parents, as J, A, and M are in a much better and blessed place to be able to have [His name] & [Her name] as parents. Admittedly, ...I am biased as I am big fans of [His name] & [Her name], ...however it is 110% deserved!
I can’t wait to see [His name] and [Her name] become parents again. It is so beautiful to see them welcome a new child to their family.
Yours truly,
D
