Tell us about your children. What do they like to do for fun?
I have been a foster parent for the past couple of years and have been able to care for children ages 0-3. We always have fun going to the park and to the kids museum, as well as playing pretend, making music, and playing with bubbles at home. I will not be doing foster care when I do embryo adoption because foster care takes a lot of emotional energy, but I will always treasure the fun I’ve had providing a safe and stable home for children in need.

INTRO LETTER
Dear donor family,
I am very grateful to have found out about embryo adoption. Taking care of children has always been an important part of my life. I have cared for children in the nursery at my church for the past thirteen years, and I have been a foster parent for the past two years. In addition, I am blessed to have a wonderful niece and nephew that I love spending time with.
I have always wanted to have children of my own, and I was so excited to find out about the option of embryo adoption. Taking care of children has filled my life with love and joy, and I can't think of a more wonderful opportunity than being able to give life to an embryo. I think it is a beautiful way to combine my desire to have a child of my own with my passion for foster care and adoption.
I am a social worker and I am very fortunate to be able to work from home, overseeing a team of nurses and other social workers that help people access the care that they need. It is a well-paying job and gives me a lot of flexibility, in addition to the satisfaction of being able to make the world a better place for those that need the most help.
As I mentioned, I also work in our church nursery weekly, teaching and caring for children ages 6 and under. One of my favorite parts of this role is playing music for the kids! I learned how to play ukulele just for that reason and love finding new songs to teach them. One of our current favorites is a very sweet song called Sunshine Mountain.
Another hobby of mine is taking care of animals. I have two birds, a beautiful fish tank, a hamster, and a dog. My dog is very special because I trained him as an emotional support dog for the older adults that I used to work with at my previous job. He had to "retire" because he was getting too many treats there, but he is the gentlest, sweetest dog I have ever met and loves kids! All of the kids I have cared for have loved my pets, and it's been a great way to teach them responsibility and compassion. The babies especially love watching the fish tank! I have even been able to successfully breed some fish that are difficult to breed in captivity, and donated the babies to the local children's hospital.
I have a very close and loving family. My sister and her husband and children live in [City], but we have lots of visits and video calls. My parents are retired and live by the beach with my brother. We love taking walks at the beach together on the weekends and they have been a great support to me. They share their wisdom with me as well as their sense of humor! I also have another brother who lives in Japan with his wife. I am lucky to have a lot of extended family nearby as well and we are all very close. Other than my family, I have wonderful friends at church that are an important part of my support system. I'm especially close with a family there that has two little girls that I have taken care of over the years at church. Everyone has been so supportive in my journey. I have several other close friends that I count on for support, including my good friends M. and M.
Other than the interests that I have already mentioned, I love hiking and reading. I live in a beautiful area with many hiking trails, and love to find the perfect spot in the mountains to reread my favorite books and poetry. I'm especially drawn to literature from the 50s--I love reading about the writers and poets from that time period, and their passion for meeting new people and exploring new places.
I hope you will consider me for your precious embryos. I cannot think of a more precious gift--a chance for someone like me to become a mother and the gift of life for your embryos. It is such a joy to be part of this process!
