While we don't have children of our own yet, we are incredibly close to our nieces and nephews, who bring immense joy and light into our lives. One special tradition we've established is creating a personalized "day experience" for each of them on their birthdays. On these days, they're the architects of their own adventure, making all the decisions about activities and food. This tradition has led us on a variety of delightful escapades, from thrilling rides at theme parks to rounds of mini-golf or laser tag, to spirited arcade games to the simple joys of building blanket forts followed by indulging in their favorite ice cream flavors while we watch a movie. We believe that by allowing them this autonomy, not only do we create unforgettable memories, but also empower them to express their individuality. This is a glimpse into the kind of attentive, experience-rich parenting we aim to provide.

Family Activity
Depending on the season, our home and hearts are filled with activities that we can't wait to share with our future child. Summertime finds us reveling in lake adventures, camping excursions filled with shared smores around the fire, spirited water fights that become the stuff of family legend. These moments are made even more special by the laughter and camaraderie of siblings, nieces, and nephews gathered around a barbecue, filling the air with the scent of sizzling food and good company. When winter blankets the world in white, we take to the slopes for exhilarating sledding experiences and enjoy the simple joy of building snowmen together. And on those particularly chilly days, we find contentment indoors, snuggled under warm blankets, lost in a good movie, or engaging in delightful puzzles and crafting gingerbread houses together.

Traditions
Halloween and Christmas in our family are traditions wrapped in love and happiness, brimming with moments we eagerly anticipate sharing with our future child. During Halloween, the morning is always started with our classic french ghosts, later my mother's homemade chili, served in pumpkin-shaped rolls, becomes the heartwarming centerpiece of our celebration. As dusk falls, we venture out for family trick-or-treating, before winding down with holiday classic films that have become a staple in our household. Christmas, too, holds its own magical elements. The season kicks off with a candy countdown that fuels the excitement leading up to the big day. On Christmas Eve, it's a family tradition to stroll down the luminous Christmas Street, captivated by twinkling lights and festive decorations. This walk is accompanied by a heartfelt reading by my father of "The Night Before Christmas," a significant tradition that brings us together in a huddle of holiday warmth. We then make our way downtown, each of us clutching a cup of steaming hot chocolate, to marvel at the dazzling Christmas lights that transform the city into a winter wonderland.

INTRO LETTER
To Our Loving Donor Family,
It's with a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation that we write this letter. We are profoundly thankful for your consideration to let us become parents to your donated embryos. We recognize the magnitude and complexity of the decision that lies before you. Please allow us to introduce ourselves, and share a bit of our world, our dreams, and our aspirations as a family, in hopes you might find comfort and confidence in your choice, whatever it may be.
A Journey Called 'Us': Love, Loss, and Second Chances
When [His name] and I were dating, our conversations often veered into the future—more specifically, about the family we both aspired to have. In those moments, becoming parents felt like an attainable dream, but reality would soon teach us that the path to parenthood is rarely a straight line, filled with unexpected setbacks, highs, and lows. Our dream of becoming parents shattered when we learned we couldn't conceive biologically; it felt as if our whole world stopped. In that instant, it felt like the world had taken something irreplaceable from us, leaving behind the future we'd envisioned and leaving us in depths of grief and despair we had never thought possible. Yet even there, in the heaviest moments of loss, one thing remained unshaken: our love for each other. The certainty of that love made it clear—we were going to overcome this challenge together. As we mourned the family we had envisioned, we also celebrated the strength of our relationship grounded in the belief that family goes far beyond a biological tie, our family would be built on love, on commitment, and the promise of countless shared tomorrows. This foundational belief guided us toward embryo adoption, not as a last resort but as a meaningful path to share the joys, challenges, and responsibilities of parenthood. It’s a new beginning and second chance, and we embrace it wholeheartedly with open hearts and open arms. We're committed to creating an incredible life for our future child, one full of love, adventure, and endless possibilities.
The Heart of Our Home: Family Values, Careers, and Tradition
Our home is a cozy five-bedroom haven situated in a vibrant suburban neighborhood teeming with parks, pools, and playgrounds that our child will come to know and love. We're committed not just to becoming parents but to creating a remarkable life for our child and with any luck, children. But it's not just about us; our families are filled with loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, who we are incredibly close to. The family we're building through embryo adoption may not start the way we initially envisioned, but it promises to be extraordinary because it will be built on a lifetime of love and happiness. From family vacations exploring new places and cultures, to the beauty encapsulated in daily routines like helping with homework, playing board games, and sharing bedtime stories—we're excited and eager to embrace it all. Family, for both of us, has always been the cornerstone of our lives. [His name] is the eldest of seven siblings, and I sit comfortably in the middle of my family of five. The dynamics of a large family have instilled in us values like sharing, empathy, and the importance of togetherness from an early age.
We cherish weekends filled with family gatherings, football games, birthdays, or just casual get-togethers that turn into memorable events. The love that fills these gatherings is unmistakable, and we can't wait to bring our child into this warm and loving environment. Our parents, both sets of them, are practically bursting with excitement at the prospect of welcoming a new grandchild. For [His name] parents, this would be their first grandbaby, making the occasion even more special. They've already started planning visits and day trips, eager to shower our future child with the same love and attention they've given us. My parents, seasoned grandparents that they are, can't wait to add another chair to the kids' table at family dinners. All in all, our child will be entering a world where family means everything. A world where they'll have not just loving parents but also doting grandparents, fun-loving aunts and uncles, and a squad of cousins to grow up with. Our families, full of diverse experiences and bursting with love, are eager to welcome our child into this incredible and beautiful thing we call family.
Our Everyday Treasures
In the midst of all this anticipation for our family's future, it feels right to give you a glimpse into the simple love and happiness that fill our everyday lives—experiences we're itching to share with our future little one. We are world travelers, and enjoy traveling every chance we get to explore and discover new and exciting experiences, places, and of course the incredible people. [His name] and I are also culture enthusiasts, whether it's a night at the theater or an afternoon at a museum, we see these as opportunities to enrich our family's life, providing lessons in empathy, community, and the beauty of diversity. We're also die-hard fans of sporting events; you'll find us wrapped up in the thrill of the game, sharing high-fives and embraces, whether we're in the bleachers or in front of the TV. It's about the adrenaline, sure, but it's also about the sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves—a sense of community and shared spirit that we're so excited to pass onto our child. Whether it's the mesmerizing allure of a well-acted play, the thrill of a close game at a sporting event, or the contemplative silence of an art museum, we believe these experiences offer more than just entertainment. They're ways to understand the world and ourselves just a bit better.
Don't get us wrong, we love a grand adventure as much as anyone. Camping under the stars, paddle boarding on the lake, hiking up trails that offer breathtaking views—these are our playgrounds, and we can't wait to see our child's eyes light up during their own outdoor escapades. But if you ask us, the magic isn't confined to these grand adventures. The real joy in our lives comes from the simple, daily moments: family dinners filled with laughter and love, board games that turn competitive, and impromptu heart-to-hearts. We look forward to nights helping with homework, bubble baths and night time stories. And that's what our life is—a collection of grand and simple moments, each a precious memory in the making, waiting to be shared with our future child. We imagine a life where our child feels the same sense of belonging and happiness, whether we're out exploring the world or simply enjoying each other's company at home.
Structure of our Work Lives
As for our careers, they don't just offer financial security but are a reflection of our passions and commitments. [His name] expertly navigates the complex world of vessel planning and procurement, ensuring smooth operations that are crucial to global logistics, while I manage our real estate portfolios and various business ventures including the Franchise we just acquisitioned. During the summer, my focus shifts to something deeply personal and rewarding, serving as a camp counselor for a program that supports children with cancer and their siblings. Additionally, I graduated as a Child Life Specialist, which gears me towards delivering child-centered care, empathetic communication, and emotional support—values that will be foundational in our approach to parenting. Our jobs provide not just stability but the flexibility to prioritize family, ensuring that when our dream of parenting is finally realized, we'll be there for every first step, every first word, and every first day of school.
The Seasons of Our Life
The atmosphere of our home changes with the seasons, each bringing its cherished traditions and memories-in-the-making. Halloween, for instance, is an event that starts right from the morning with the preparation of our classic "French ghosts," an enchanting treat that the little ones in our family love. The scent of my Mom’s homemade chili fills the house by afternoon, served in delightful pumpkin-shaped rolls. As twilight cloaks the day, we embark on a family trick-or-treating adventure, a parade of costumes and giggles. We wind down with classic holiday films, where the excitement of the day settles into the comfort of family togetherness. It’s not just about the festivities or the food; it’s the laughter, the shared stories, and the sheer joy of family coming together that makes it special.
Come winter, and the atmosphere shifts towards Christmas magic. The entire family gets together to create candy countdowns that steadily builds the excitement up to Christmas Day. Our neighborhood transforms into what is affectionately called 'Christmas Street,' adorned with twinkling lights, festive decorations and individual signs with the time old story of "The Night Before Christmas.". A walk down this radiant lane, we take turns reading while we clutch steaming mugs of hot chocolate, which has become a heartwarming tradition filling us all in a sense of belonging and warmth that's hard to describe but easy to feel. [His name] adds a dash of his American-Italian heritage into our celebrations, often whipping up enough food and cookies to feed an army with recipes that have been passed down through generations. In sharing this, we aim to offer you a glimpse into what life would be like for a child welcomed into our family. It’s a life steeped in traditions, yes, but also one where every day brings the opportunity for new adventures, lessons, and, of course, a whole lot of love!
Closing Thoughts: Our Promise and Hope for the Future
As we share our lives and dreams with you, we are filled with hopeful anticipation for the possibility of extending our family through your generous gift. We understand that this is a significant decision for you. We assure you that if we are chosen, your embryos will be welcomed into a world full of love, opportunities, and a supportive family network. Thank you for taking the time to explore the landscape of our lives, dreams, and values. We await your decision with the deepest respect and hopeful hearts.
With heartfelt gratitude and hopeful anticipation,
REFERENCE LETTER 1
September 8, 2023
Greetings:
It is with great honor and excitement to write this letter of reference for [His name] and [Her name]. I don’t know of anyone who would be better parents than these two.
[His name] is the oldest of 7 children. He has always been a kind, gentle, loving, supportive and a helpful “big brother”. He learned at a very young age how to help care for children. He was changing diapers at 9, helping his siblings with homework, and even teaching them how to drive!
I have witnessed [His name] caring and gentle nature not only with his siblings but with his friends children and his nieces and nephews. He is always willing to play, color, take them swimming and even spending countless weekends at their sporting games! His gentle nature allows kids to feel comfortable talking with him. He is never judgmental and is always supportive!
[His name] has always had a love of family and traditions. From Christmas Eve’s with large extended family, to Easter egg hunts, to birthday celebrations, he is always the first one make sure everyone is felt welcomed and a part of the family. He is truly one of a kind.
[Her name] is one of 5 children. She is probably one of the best aunts I have ever seen with her nieces and nephews! Some of her nieces and nephews have special needs. I always see her taking the time to make them feel special in their own strengths. She takes an interest in each one of them and makes it a point to spend one on one time with them. She is always positive with them and it is very obvious that they love her.
She also donates 2 weeks each summer as a camp counselor at a camp for terminally ill kids. She demonstrates selflessness and love and I admire her strength.
Both [His name] and [Her name] have extended family that are equally excited to see them become parents. I have no doubt that they will be nurturing and loving parents and will have a whole “army” of support from their parents and siblings.
The love [His name] and [Her name] have for each other will only be magnified with a blessing of a child. This child will have so much love given to them from these two! I can hardly wait for them to begin this new journey together. Their love is evident in their relationship and a precious baby will never doubt the love those two have for him/her and each other!
REFERENCE LETTER 2
To whom it may concern:
I am so honored that [her name] and [His name] asked me to write a letter to help you get to know them like I do. I have known [Her name] for over five years. We both volunteer at a camp for children who have cancer and their siblings. It was both our second year volunteering and we were put in the same cabin together. Nothing bonds you more than being camp counselors at the best place on earth! Within five minutes of meeting [Her name], I knew she was one of a kind with the biggest heart. She was so warm, welcoming and full of life. I genuinely felt like she cared about me, even though I had just met her. I was able to personally watch her that week as she interacted with our campers. They just gravitated towards “Wonder Woman” (her camp nickname). She was able to be both fun and interactive but also took the time for the camper that needed to talk things through. She is very genuine in all that she does, and is able to notice even the little things that make the biggest difference. We both have continued to volunteer with cancer camp and [Her name] is a staple that the campers look for every year. She truly is a gem.
9Her name] is on the path to become a Certified Child Life Specialist which in and of itself is a testament of the qualities that make her unique and wonderful. The field of child life helps provide psychosocial care for children, youth and families in the hospital setting. They help families and children to cope with the stress and uncertainty of illness, injury, trauma and bereavement. To be successful in this career, it takes someone who is empathetic, kind, versatile, sensitive and genuine. [Her name] exudes all of these. She truly is an advocate for children, youth and families. She may be called “Wonder Woman” at camp but I have been blessed to witness that she truly is that in all that she does.
If I were to create the perfect man for [Her name] to build her life with, it would be someone who was full of adventure. This perfect man would be very compassionate with a kind heart but who also liked to live life to the fullest. This man would be successful and hard working but also patient and kind. When I met [His name] for the first time, he checked off all of these qualities and then some. He is present when you are talking with him and is so kind. Watching [her name] and [His name] together is magic. They truly love each other, you can tell by the way they look at one another. They do good to everyone around them. The world is a better place because of them. I know that any child would be so blessed to have them as parents. That child would be loved without question and given a life rich in opportunity, growth and adventure.
My life has been so richly blessed because of [Her name] and [His name]. If you have any questions or would like me to elaborate on anything, please reach out!
Sincerely,
REFERENCE LETTER 3

To Whom it may Concern:
It is my pleasure to write this letter on behalf of [Her name] and [His name]. I have known [Her name] personally for about 7 years and consider her a dear friend. From the moment we met, I knew she was one of a kind. We first met in 2017 as volunteers at a summer camp and support program for kids ages 4-19 years with cancer and their siblings. We have spent a lot of time together over those years serving, planning activities, encouraging and caring for these campers in many different settings.
Working for an organization like this always seems to attract an amazing group of people. But even then, some volunteers stand out even more and [Her name] is one of those. In fact, her nickname at camp is “Wonder Woman” because she is absolutely wonderful! She has a genuine way of including anyone and everyone. Campers and volunteers know she is one they can trust and can feel how much she truly cares for them individually. Over these years I have seen her interact with and positively impact all different ages of children who have attended camp. The kids and teens that we help have gone through extremely difficult things in their lives and our camp gives them an opportunity to be a kid. Oftentimes difficult conversations come up and there is no one I trust more to listen so thoughtfully and show more care to our campers than [Her name].
I am a director of the camp now so I have the privilege to not only continue working with her, but now I get to encourage and supervise her as she is growing into a vital leader at camp. One thing that has always impressed me about [Her name] is her ability to put others first. She is able to do this while firmly understanding who she is and sets appropriate boundaries in order to help others feel comfortable and safe. She is so much fun and has helped me see the good in difficult situations. Simply put, she has made my life better.
As a mother of four children myself, I know how complex and wonderful being a parent can be. One reason I know that [Her name] and [His name] will make excellent parents is that they love fiercely. The way they care for each other as well as their extended family, shows how much they would nurture and appreciate creating this family of their own. They are thoughtful and kind people who will teach their children how to benefit society, be part of a community, take care of one another, understand the value of hard work and create a home that is safe and stable. No one could possibly love those children more and create such a beautiful life than [Her name] and [His name].
I am grateful and proud to call them my friends and am excited for them to start this amazing adventure.
All my love,
