Greetings

Our family consists of my husband, myself, and our son from embryo adoption who just turned one year old Sept 2025. We live in a small village where we take care of our 3 dogs, a few farm cats, and our flock of chickens, ducks, geese and a turkey. We grow a small amount of our own veggies and have some fruit trees and berry bushes and of course an endless supplky of farm fresh eggs!

'Daddy' [His name] is a registered nurse who is passionate about caring for people. He is a hard working and dedicated man who would do anything to provide for his family. He works as a leader in his nursing unit at a local hospital and is well respected and well liked in the hospital by patients and fellow clinical team members. [His name] has 18 yrs of nursing experience in various roles including home care nursing caring for disabled children.

[His name] hobbies include woodworking and crafting where he enjoys creating things espcially for us, the family. He has designed and built several enclosures and pens for our birds on our hobby farm where we keep chickens, ducks, geese, a turkey and some quail. He is always willing to work on and try to repair things around the house too and looks forward to teathing these skills to our son as he grows up.

Fatherhood has revealed a jovial side to [His name]. He delights in our son and loves him unconditionally. Even when tired after a long day at work, he greets our son with a huge smile and a laugh and inspires laughter from our son in return. I love watching the two of them playing together. [His name] is willing to be silly, dance, sing, and play with our son. He enjoys a good rough housing but can also be soft and gentle.

[His name's] greatest strength is patience. He and I have both prayed for more than 10 years to be blessed with children and after years of trying and numerous doctor appointments and medication trials, he never lost hope and continued to trust in God's plan for us. Last year we were given the opportunity to adopt 2 embryos which resulted in the birth of our son and the answer to our years of prayer.

We hope to experience this journey again and be able to expand our family with siblings for [Son's name] through embryo adoption.

I am a former veterinary nurse and transistioned from clinical work to administrative work a few years ago which has allowed me to work from home. I have been with the company for almost 20 yrs and because of my long standing reputation, I have a lot of scheduling flexibility which allows me to keep our son at home with me full-time.

'Big Momma' [Her name]: My greatest passion is being a great mom for our son. I pray every morning for God to give me strength and wisdom to be the mother our son needs, a good wife and partner for my husband, and a good worker for my company.

My husband and I have a foster care license and have cared for many children over the years. The experience has helped us become better parents for our own son and a better support for the children in foster care. Helping our foster kids navigate through their own lives, helping maintain their relationships with their families and friends, and helping them learn to trust and experience love in a stable home has been a great joy as well as a great challenge. One thing all of our foster children have had in common is love for their parents despite the circumstances and trauma that may have separated them. Our goal as foster parents is to encourage this love and relationship with their parents in a safe way.

I think this concept can be applied in embryo adoption as well. We believe it is important for the adopted child to know their story, their donor family, and siblings. We have a close relationship with our son's donor parents and his biological sister. We share photos, videos, and had them out for a visit this past summer to meet our son in person. We want our son to feel proud and comfortable sharing his adoption story. We hope for an open relationship with a donor family where we can share pictures, videos, and parenting stories / advice and schedule visits yearly if possible.

Our goals for our child's future and any future children is to teach them to love God and follow a Christian life. We hope to inspire them to try their best at any job or career they may choose. We want to instill kindness and honorable behavior in all situations, even when no one is watching. We also want to teach them how to be good mothers/fathers and wives/husbands when they are grown and get married and/or have children of their own.
