Dear Donor Family,

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. We have had many highs and lows on our fertility journey, as I'm sure you have as well!

My husband and I met and got married later in life. I had just finished earning my Ph.D. in Education, and my husband was continuing to grow his business in the residential construction field.

We got married in 2021, and soon after, we began trying to get pregnant. We had difficulty initially, so we sought assistance from a fertility clinic. Thankfully, through IUI, we were able to get pregnant with our daughter. My pregnancy, labor, and delivery went well, and our daughter is now 2.5 years old. She is a great joy in our life, and we are so grateful for her!

About a year after she was born, we attempted to get pregnant a second time using both natural methods and IUI. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in our efforts. My doctor said it is an egg quality issue. So, we began to pursue embryo adoption, and that is what brought us here.

We are a very active and adventurous family. We recently got back from a ski trip where we taught our daughter to snow ski for the first time! She is definitely still a "newbie" to skiing, but she loved it! We spend a lot of time outdoors. Biking, fishing, and boating are some of our favorite activities. We have a boat that we take out on a local lake often in the summer. We also recently moved into our new home, where we have 7.5 acres of land to explore, which has been great! I am hoping to get a large garden started soon where we can grow more of our own food!

Spending time with our extended family is also something we highly value. My husband's family lives close, and we get to see his parents and siblings often. My family is further away, but we take a lot of trips to visit for holidays, birthdays, and summer fun. Our daughter loves spending time with her grandparents, aunts/uncles, and cousins, making lots of memories in the kitchen, in the swimming pool, and in grandpa's garden.

Education is very important to us. As an educator for many years, I highly value learning, exploring, and developing curiosity and creativity. Reading and learning through experiences are a part of our daily life, and we hope to bring another beautiful child (or children) into our family to learn and grow alongside our daughter.

In terms of employment, my husband is self-employed, and I work part-time remotely for a local university in their education department. This allows me to stay home with our daughter, which has been one of the greatest gifts. Our life is fairly flexible, and it has allowed us to pursue the things that are most important to us.

Our church and our faith are another important part of our life. We are very involved in our local church community, and our faith has kept us grounded throughout our marriage and through our fertility journey.
