INTRO LETTER
Hi, thank you for reading our profile! From the beginning of our relationship, we dreamed of building a family together, though our journey to parenthood took a path very different from what we initially imagined.
We met in 2013 and got married in 2017. Just two months after our wedding, we lost my mother to breast cancer. The months that followed were filled with grief and healing, and when we felt ready, we began trying to conceive. We experienced an early pregnancy loss, and soon after learned that medical intervention would be necessary. During fertility testing, a tumor was discovered on my right ovary, leading to surgery and a diagnosis of borderline ovarian cancer. Thankfully, it was localized, and after a long recovery, we were able to pursue fertility treatment once again.
Over the next several years, we endured multiple egg retrievals and embryo transfers, each filled with hope and, at times, heartbreak. When those treatments were unsuccessful, we took time to reflect on the many ways families are created. We had always envisioned adoption as a potential path for us, so embryo adoption felt like a natural next step for our family when we learned that it allowed us to still experience pregnancy and birth.
Through embryo adoption, we were blessed to welcome a son into our lives in 2024. Becoming his parents has been the most profound and joyful experience we could have ever imagined. Our son, now two-years-old, is funny and delightfully silly, with an adventurous spirit and a deep curiosity about the world around him. He loves exploring, asking questions, and figuring out how things work. He is also incredibly affectionate and loving, generous with hugs and cuddles, and his joy and enthusiasm fill our home each day. Playful and energetic, he is also remarkably gentle — especially with our rescue dog and two rescue cats, who are cherished members of our family. He delights in helping care for them, offering soft pets and proud smiles as he learns empathy and responsibility through those relationships. This incredible little boy is so deeply cherished and surrounded by a family and community that celebrates him. Parenting him has only strengthened our desire to grow our family again and to provide another child with the same unconditional love, stability, and intentional care.
Family is incredibly important to us. Both of our immediate families live nearby, allowing our son to grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who are actively involved in his life. We cherish holidays and traditions, especially those that honor loved ones who have passed, such as making family recipes and gathering together at Christmastime — a season that holds special meaning for us.
We are both employed full-time in careers that we care deeply about. One of us works as a Sterile Processing Technician at a local hospital, and the other is a Supply Chain Manager for a global aerospace company. Our roles offer flexibility and stability, allowing us to prioritize family life while remaining fully present and engaged parents.
Outside of work, our lives revolve around family time and being fully present with our son. We love spending our days exploring local libraries and museums, playing outside, and creating opportunities for him to learn, discover, and grow. Whether reading books, visiting new places, or simply enjoying time outdoors, we value experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection. We approach parenting with warmth, empathy, and thoughtful intention, striving to create a home where our child feels safe, deeply loved, and truly known. We are deeply supportive of one another and believe that a strong partnership allows us to show up consistently and lovingly for our son. The challenges we’ve faced have shaped us into intentional parents who value connection, openness, resilience, and gratitude in everyday life.
We are profoundly thankful for the donors who consider embryo adoption and for the incredible generosity it represents. Our son’s story began with an extraordinary act of love, and we are committed to honoring that gift every day. If given the opportunity to adopt again, we would be honored to welcome another child into our family and raise them alongside their sibling in a home rooted in love, respect, and gratitude.
