INTRO LETTER
Dear Embryo Donor Family,
From the very beginning, we have dreamed of building a family together — a home full of laughter, love, and adventure. After exploring different paths, we discovered embryo adoption and felt an immediate, deep connection to the process. It felt less like a detour and more like the path we were always meant to take, and we are so grateful for the families who make it possible.
We balance each other beautifully — [His name's] calm steadiness and [Her name's] vibrant energy complement each other in a way that makes our home feel both grounded and full of life. Together, we bring out the best in each other, and we can't wait to bring that same balance to raising a child.
[His name] is calm and easy-going, able to deftly navigate life's stressful moments with quiet grace. He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do with a deep passion for art and history — often combining the two, like his stunning colored pencil rendering of King Tut. You might also find him happily tinkering with electronics, including a custom-built PC he put together himself. With kids, [His name] has a special gift — he gets right down on the floor, follows their lead, and plays like a kid himself. Whether he's building Lego castles and launching missiles to send them gloriously crumbling in a game he and his sisters invented called "Castle Bomb," or unleashing his inner tickle monster to a chorus of giggles, [His name] meets children exactly where they are.
[Her name] is bubbly and outgoing, with a warm and nurturing spirit that draws people in. She excels in martial arts, loves swimming, and is a former lifeguard. She loves hosting holidays and giving back to her community — whether volunteering at her godson's school or with the local roller coaster club. [Her name] is fluent in Polish and proudly calls herself a "PoloRican" — half Polish, half Puerto Rican — and the richness of those two cultures is woven into everything she does. She helped raise her godson from the age of three, and the bond they share speaks for itself — he still seeks her out regularly, not just for advice, but simply for the comfort of her company. That kind of open, trusting relationship is exactly what we hope to build with our child.
Together, we are adventurers at heart. We love road trips with no shortage of quirky stops — think the world's biggest ball of yarn or a two-story outhouse — and roller coasters are a true shared passion. We've ridden over 300 unique coasters and counting, and every summer we set off on a brand new adventure. That love has already spilled into the next generation — a few summers ago we brought our niece B. on a week-long coaster trip across three parks, with a few days at home in between for silly games, martial arts, and simply hanging out. What we didn't anticipate was that our pace would bring a spirited thirteen-year-old to her knees — by the second park, B. had slowed to a near crawl, completely spent. We laughed, took more breaks, and happily slowed our stride to match hers. What started as a single trip has since become a cherished tradition, and somewhere between the roller coasters and the downtime, B. has become someone who asks big, deep, thoughtful questions and trusts us with the answers. We can't wait to share these adventures with our own child riding alongside us.
But the heart of our home lives in the quieter moments too. We already gather at the dinner table every evening — no phones, just the two of us sharing stories about our day — and we can't wait to pull up another chair and make that a cherished family tradition. Evenings wind down with a favorite show, a good book, or a bedtime story, and [Her name] has a gift for inventing silly little games that seem to appear out of nowhere and dissolve everyone into laughter. We want our child to feel free to explore, discover who they are, and come to us with anything — big feelings, big questions, or just to hang out. That's the kind of home we're building — warm, a little silly, and always open.
Our families are equally warm and welcoming, and we are lucky to have them. [her name] has one sister whose family lives just a few hours away, and [His name] has two sisters — a bit farther, but we make it a point to gather at least once a year for board games, cooking, and long walks on the beach. We are also surrounded by wonderful friends who feel like extended family, and [Her name's] godson lives just down the street, which brings us so much joy. Both family and friends alike are generous, loving, and the kind of people who show up for one another without hesitation — and with a few new nieces and nephews recently in the mix, we would be so honored to add another little one to the fold.
We want you to know how deeply we understand the magnitude of the gift you are considering. You are not just giving us a child — you are giving a child a life, and we do not take that lightly for even a single moment. We will nurture their curiosity, support their passions even when they differ from our own, encourage them to be honest and open with us, and give them the space to discover who they are meant to be. Every single day will be filled with love, laughter, silliness, and the knowledge that they are deeply, unconditionally wanted.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for considering us. Whatever path you choose, we honor the love behind your decision.
With warmest regards and endless gratitude,
