🌿 My Story & My Hope for a Family

Writing this is deeply emotional for me, but it comes from a place of gratitude, humility, and unwavering hope. My name is [Her name], and becoming a mother has been the greatest dream of my life. My journey to motherhood has been long and filled with both courage and heartbreak. I began with two IUI attempts, each one filled with optimism, but neither resulted in pregnancy. I then moved into IVF, completing three cycles. Despite doing everything within my power — medications, monitoring, procedures, and prayer — I did not have any viable embryos to transfer or freeze. Professionally, I am a Vice President of Financial Crimes Compliance Risk Management at one of the top financial institutions in the United States. I hold a bachelors degree along with several professional certifications; including Life Coaching and Mental Health First Aid for Youth. I’ve spent 20 years in the banking industry, building a career grounded in integrity, responsibility, and excellence. I am financially secure, own my home with a beautiful fenced‑in backyard, and drive a paid‑off vehicle. I’ve always been self‑sufficient, and I take pride in creating a life that is stable, abundant, and full of opportunity.

 

Personally, I live a vibrant, active, and connected life. I love international travel and have a wonderfully culturally diverse circle of friends who feel like family. I am a devoted godmother and aunt that doesn't miss a dance recital, grade level promotion, or sports competition. I’m athletic — I enjoy hiking, swimming, and I am an avid roller skater. I often host my nieces during spring break and summer vacation. I use the time to share with them my love food festivals, outdoor concerts, amusement parks, and movie nights. I believe in living fully and joyfully, and I cannot wait to share that sense of adventure with children of my own.

 

Civic responsibility is a core part of who I am. I am an advocate for mental health, financial literacy, and economic empowerment. I am a public speaker, organizer, and I serve on the boards of multiple nonprofit organizations continuing the legacy of community service my parents instilled in me. I want my future children to grow up understanding compassion, generosity, and the importance of giving back. People often tell me that my energy and remarkable smile brightens every room I walk into. I hope to bring that same warmth, light, and happiness into the life of my child.

 

I have always believed that families are built on love, commitment, and the willingness to show up for each other—no matter how that family comes together. The decision to pursue embryo donation was not made lightly; it is the result of deep reflection, research, countless heartfelt conversations and prayer. This child or children will be:

• Well loved — surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and lifelong friends turned family

• Well supported — emotionally, financially, and educationally

• Well-traveled — exposed to cultures, languages, and experiences that expand their world

• Well grounded — raised with values of kindness, curiosity, and community

• Well educated — intentional academia, literary arts, theatre, and musical exposure

Though I am unmarried, I am far from alone. My support system is strong, diverse, and deeply invested in my journey to motherhood. This child will grow up knowing they were wanted, cherished, and chosen.

Most major holidays, my sister and I share the cooking responsibilities. I assure you they will experience joyful, fun-filled holidays with their many cousins. I am always the Master of Ceremonies, tasked with organizing the games, karaoke, or family outings.

 

It is not lost on me the importance of having a strong male influence in a child’s life. Despite my parents being unmarried, I have been fortunate to have an unshakeable relationship with my father, whom I talk to daily. That is why I am certain that my brother (who works in professional sports) and my nephews will join my father as positive role models for my child/children.

I remain optimistic about the possibility of creating a two-parent household. Although I started this journey as a single woman, a recently rekindled relationship with an incredible gentleman and father is showing real promise.

My future child will be covered abundantly, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

As life unfolds, I am committed to nurturing my child’s individuality and supporting their dreams, whatever path they choose. Our home will be a safe haven, where kindness and respect are practiced daily, and each person’s voice is cherished. I believe in celebrating milestones, from their first steps to graduation and beyond, and will encourage them to embrace opportunities, make mistakes, and learn with resilience. Together, we will build traditions and memories that will carry them through every stage of life, surrounded by unwavering love and encouragement from our family and community. Above all, I promise to honor their heritage and story, ensuring they grow up with a deep sense of belonging, joy, purpose, and pride.

 

I desire to support my child's unique personality and dreams by building a home based on respect, empathy, and open communication. I intend to recognize their achievements, help them grow from every outcome (not just the positive ones), and cherish our moments together. Most importantly, I'll give them unconditional love, nurture a strong sense of belonging and purpose, and honor their faith as an important part of who they are.
