INTRO LETTER
Hi! My name is [Her name], and I am from a nice, quiet suburb in [State]. People describe me as kind, caring, empathetic, patient, playful, and quiet yet friendly. I am a spiritual type person, and believe there is good in everyone. I am close to my family and have really enjoyed being a part of my nephew’s lives while they were growing up. My spare time is spent with family and close friends. Also, I enjoy exercising, taking long walks, reading, decorating the home, working in the yard and being outside as much as possible in the summer time. What I feel is genuine about me is that I am very humble, down to earth, and empathetic to others that are less fortunate. I am an intervention specialist and I teach children with learning disabilities. I enjoy the kind of work that I do because it feels rewarding to be a part of my student’s growth and success. I feel fortunate to be a positive role model to them and a caring and stable part of their life that they may not have in their home environment.
I come from a small but close and loving family. When I was younger, my brothers and I were close to my grandparents up until they both passed away. They had a big influence on us growing up. I remember going down to Florida with my family twice a year to visit them (once at Christmas and once in the summer). My grandmother would tell us children’s fables that she would make up to entertain us. Also, I remember my grandfather taking us to the zoo, minor league baseball games, and for walks to the grocery store where we would try most of the samples. These were simpler times and some really great childhood memories that we all still share. My parents have been married for close to 50 years. My oldest brother is married and has two sons (one adopted through marriage and one biological). My middle brother has two sons of his own which I have spent a lot of time with while they were growing up. I played with them, baby sat them, and went to all of their football and baseball games. When I was younger, my mom kept my brothers and I close by having us all eat dinner together at the kitchen table every night. We would talk, share about our day, and laugh a lot. She would also help us with homework after dinner. I remember her quizzing us on our spelling words and math facts each night. My dad went to work and financially supported us while my mom stayed home and provided us with guidance and structure. These are all memories that shaped and made me the person I am today. Regarding friends, I have a small group that I have known for many years. They are good family oriented people. I enjoy spending time with them and doing fun things. I am also currently engaged to a genuinely good guy. He is close to his family, and is very excited for us to go on this journey together.
I had always imagined that I would have met the right person, got married, and had children, but my life did not go the way I had planned it all out in my head. I had focused on my career and finding the perfect person, and time seemed to get away from me. However, I have always had adoption in the back of my mind. It has always been my plan to adopt after having biological children. With failed IVF treatments, I feel that it was a sign that adoption would be my first option all along. A while back, a family friend of ours had adopted two children from Russia. While she was going through the process, I remember feeling envious of her for opening up her heart and home to children in need. I have seen firsthand what a beautiful blessing it is for everyone involved. At this point in our lives, we feel that we have the time, financial stability, and desire to provide a good home and life to a child. I am confident that we can provide a stable and loving home to any child.

REFERENCE LETTER 2
To Whom it May Concern,
When I think of someone who possesses all the qualities that would make a great father, I think of [His name]. He truly embodies what it means to be supportive, patient, kind, caring, dependable, and hard- working. He also is not afraid to ask for help when needed or explanations when he is unfamiliar with something. These are very important qualities to have when becoming a new parent, due to the endless amounts of new situations you encounter every single day.
[His name] is very understanding with my children, correcting behaviors when needed but never raising his voice or over-stepping. He is very helpful as well, willing to hold, feed, rock my children when they were babies. Currently, he is one of the emergency contacts to pick up our children from school or extracurricular activities if needed. He goes out of his way to make it to every game, match, meet, play, etc., that he can, always encouraging or offering a little piece of advice along the way. It is so important he makes time for my children and that has developed a bond between them and memories with him that will last a lifetime.
In conclusion, it is very difficult to put into words because I think that [His name] would make an amazing father. Simply put, he is an amazing human being who I think would do an awesome job of raising an amazing human being. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this and sincerely hope that you choose him for his next, more important position of a father.
Best Regards,
REFERENCE LETTER 3
To Whom it May Concern,
My name is G, and I am [Her name] mother. [Her name] is a very loving and gentle person. She was always taught to do the right thing and to respect herself as well as everyone else. She always thinks of others before herself and is a very good, honest, and genuine person. [Her name] is driven to do her very best, and does her very best always. She has always loved children and has spent a lot of time with her four nephews while they were growing up. She’s still very close to them as well as her two older brothers. We are a very close family. In her profession, she teaches and genuinely cares about her students that otherwise do not have any direction nor a very good home life. She is always willing to listen and help them. She has a few very close friends and enjoys spending time with them. I have no doubt that she would be a very caring and excellent mother and would provide a very good home for any child.
Sincerely,
