We started dating in 2016 and married in 2018, hoping to begin our family soon after.

In the first few years, we tried several natural fertility approaches, such as specific diets, supplements, and acupuncture, before moving on to IVF and domestic adoption. Sadly, although we managed to achieve pregnancy, repeated attempts ended in miscarriages during the first trimester.

 

For the past two years, we've been pursuing domestic adoption without success. A family friend shared her experience with embryo adoption and encouraged us to explore it. The timing of learning about embryo adoption and the support of our family, including an offer to be a gestational carrier, we feel truly like all the pieces aligned to bring our journey here in the way only God’s plan can.

 

We're grateful for the unwavering love and support from our family and friends. While the investments of time, resources, and hope in fertility treatments have been emotionally challenging, our relationship and appreciation for our journey together has only reinforced our commitment and gratitude for our life together.

 

Currently, our lives are enriched by attending family and friends’ children’s birthday parties, sporting events, and celebrating holidays together. We also value time at our family lake cabin, which serves as a retreat for both sides of our family. During summers, we enjoy fishing, floating, paddleboarding, and tubing together.

 

In our spare time we enjoy travelling, trying new restaurants and food, listening to live music and just about any activity outdoors. We often work on projects together at our house or cabin which really exemplify how we a such a great team!

 

We celebrate all holidays with our families, enjoying activities like egg decorating at Easter and pumpkin carving on Halloween. Recently, we've started spending Christmas at the cabin with [His name] family, where we share meals, play board games, and enjoy a festive weekend together.

Both of us were raised in families where strong engagement, support, and shared experiences were emphasized. These are values we continue to hold dear and strive to pass on in our own family life. One of the most meaningful confirmations of our compatibility has been the way our families have naturally come together. We both grew up on small family farms surrounded by close-knit relatives, each of us raised with similar morals and values.

 

Our parents have each been married for over 35 years and have become great friends over the years. [Her name] is one of six siblings, with three sisters and two brothers, and she is blessed with fourteen nieces and nephews, with two more on the way. [His name] has 2 siblings, a sister and a brother. He has three nephews and one that will be here in April.

 

We are not only honored to serve as godparents, but we are also fortunate to live close enough to spend quality time with the littles whenever their parents need a break. In fact, our nursery has been lovingly built and well-tested over the past couple of years by our youngest nieces and nephews.

 

We decided to build our life in a small, safe and quiet neighborhood just outside the city where we work. Our home has four bedrooms, one of which is already set up as a nursery, ready to welcome a child. We are just blocks away from two parks that we often enjoy taking our nieces and nephews to.

 

We feel very fortunate to have jobs that let us prioritize our family. [His name] works as a foreman, and [Her name] performance consulting position is mostly remote. Our employment at the hospital ensures both financial stability and access to exceptional medical care.

 

Our faith, community, family, and life together has brought us so much happiness that we are incredibly excited to share with a child. As we look forward to the future, we are filled with hope and anticipation for the opportunity to welcome a child into our lives and share with them the warmth, traditions, and love that have shaped our journey so far.
