Hello! We’re [Her name] and [His name]. We met in college almost 10 years ago. We were in thesame major (Broadcast Media) and met when [His name] decided to do magic tricks for [Her name] andher friends. We quickly became close friends and after 2years of friendship decided we felt alittle more than friendship between us. 3 years later he proposed by doing a magic trick just likehow we first met. Now, we’ve been married for 3 years and are very excited to grow our familythrough embryo adoption.We live in a single-family home in a nice neighborhood with lots of families. Our home has 3bedrooms and 2.5 baths and even a small bonus room that will be perfect for a future playroom.We have 2 cats at home, Finley and Tigger. They are both super sweet cats that love to cuddle.We also live down the street from [Her name] best friend and her husband and 1 year old son. Welove visiting with them during the week and even taking their sweet son on adventures to localparks or the children’s museum. At home, [His name] loves cooking all kinds of different dishes andloves trying new recipes. [Her name] loves baking cookies and scones and other desserts, especiallyaround the holidays.There is always good food cooking in our house. We love playing differentgames at home with each other or even having game nights with our friends and families. [Her name] loves reading when she has a moment and also reading fun stories to her friends littleones.We are both very close with our families and love spending time with them. [Her name] family lives about 40 minutes away and [Her name] even works with her dad and brother. We visit and getdinner with her parents and brother and sister quite often. [His name] sister lives in the next townover from us and we go out to dinner with her or have each other over to our houses a lot. [His name] mom and dad live 3 hours away but make lots of trips up to visit and we try to go down to visit them often too. [His name] family are all avid sports fans and during football season we have a NFL picks where we all pick who we think is going to win each game. It’s a fun way to stay connected with each other. Holidays are very big in our families and we always go all out no matter who we’re celebrating with. We love cooking and baking with our families on Thanksgiving and spending quality time together. Christmas is another big holiday in our families. We love decorating the whole house for Christmas and baking lots of cookies. Every year we get together throughout the season to build gingerbread houses and look at Christmas lights as well. We also gather with family to celebrate Easter every year. Even as adults we love dying easter eggs and going on easter egghunts. [His name] works in sales for a phone company. He is very outgoing and loves getting to know new people and helping them in any way he can which makes his job perfect for him! He works very close to our house which makes it easy to come home on lunch breaks and get home in time for dinner. [Her name] works in marketing for the automotive industry. She currently works in an office setting but is transitioning to work from home soon which will allow her to be home with the kidsone day.During our time off together we love doing fun things around town. We live in a great area with abeautiful downtown and lots of local parks. We also love going to local hockey games and baseball games. [Her name] loves exploring museums and learning about history or visiting locallibraries. As a former golf pro, [His name] loves going out and playing golf in his free time and is looking forward to teaching our future children how to play one day. We also love going to see musicals at our local theater or seeing shows at the local arena. We live very close to the mountains which makes it perfect to go on hikes on the weekends. We also live a few hours from the beach and love taking weekend trips there. [His name] family rents a house every year on the beach and we love vacationing there with them. [Her name] parents live on a lake so we spend a lot of days in the warmer months spending time with her family there and taking boatrides around the lake. One of our favorite parts of the year is taking a trip to the mountains with our college friends and their little ones for “Friendsgiving”. We’ve done this every year since we graduated and love the opportunity to spend quality time with our friends. We both have always wanted to be parents. We started trying to get pregnant naturally about 2½ years ago although we knew that getting pregnant on our own would probably be difficult. [His name] was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at 6 months old and went through many rounds of chemo before finally being declared cancer free a few months after his second birthday. Unfortunately we found out that the chemo left him with a very small chance of being able to have genetic children. We tried surgery to try one last chance for us to be able to try IVFwhich was unsuccessful. Embryo adoption was something that [Her name] had come across before they got married so we decided to do more research and look into it more which led us here. We love the idea of being able to carry our future child and get to know each other a bit before they are here.
