Hello!

We are [Her name] and [His name] and we’re grateful for the chance to introduce ourselves and share our hearts with you. We live in a cozy home with our sweet dog Chai (who has far more nicknames than we can count), and we’ve been building our life together since May of 2016.

 

[her name] works as a board certified music therapist. She primarily works with individuals that have intellectual or developmental disabilities like autism, cerebral palsy, or down syndrome etc. Music therapy uses music to accomplish non-musical goals. As a music therapist [Her name] helps her clients learn to emotionally regulate, communicate and build social skills in the communities that they are in. The youngest client she's ever cared for was 14 months and the oldest person she has cared for was 102. [Her name] considers “Music Therapy” to be one of the things she could give a TED talk on. By working in this field she has learned how to care for others, advocate for their best life, and share in the joy and passion of music. She intends to share her passion for caring for others and music with our future children.

 

[His name] works for a third party medical supply company, packing and shipping medical supplies to doctors offices, hospitals and clinics. If you’ve ever needed saline, a sling, or an air boot [His name] company may have packed and shipped it. He loves working with his hands, making people laugh, and taking the time to relax at the end of a long day. On most evenings you could catch [His name] making a cup of tea, getting a snack, and sitting down to a good show or movie if he’s not playing a board game or card game.

 

Outside of work, our home is full of crafts, games, music, and the gentle chaos of creative hobbies. [Her name] uses her Cricut crafting machine for lots of fun projects. From shirts, to etched glass, bead projects and vinyl designs, there's almost always a craft project of some kind going on in the house. She also loves playing guitar, piano, and many other instruments. [His name] used to play violin and is hoping to get back into it again soon (with the addition of a little one, we could have a whole band!). [His name] enjoys cooking, and games most. He loves spending time with friends to play strategy and role play games. He recently discovered the game called Everdell and has always had a love for D&D. While getting out for a walk doesn't happen nearly as often as Chai would like, there is a nice little nature preserve near where we call home and it has some great paved walking paths (and spots to sniff).

 

Family is a huge part of our lives. At least once a month we gather with [His name] family who live about an hour and a half a way. [His anme] is 1 of 2 children. His mom, dad and older sister all live together with our niece S., who just turned 1 in December 2025. Our visits usually involve breakfast with extended family, games, conversation, and lots of laughter. We also try to celebrate holidays and birthdays with them when we can.

 

When we are not visiting with [His name] family, we spend quite a bit of time with [Her name] mom and dad, who live nearby. They have become an important and loving presence in our everyday life. [Her name] is an only child, but she has a large extended family full of aunts, uncles, and cousins who also live nearby. One of our dreams is to one day build a house on a shared property with her parents, creating a place where our family can continue to grow closer.

 

One of the reasons we are hoping to adopt your embryos is because of genetics. [Her name] was born with a very rare eye condition called Aniridia. Aniridia is a genetic condition where the iris (the colored part of the eye) does not develop causing vision loss and other eye related trauma. Aniridia is also related to a mutation of the PAX6 gene which causes liver and kidney issues. Luckily in the last few years new opportunities have presented themselves, and [Her name] was fortunate to have a vision saving and life changing surgery where she received iris prosthetics. While this surgery was possible for her it is extremely rare for people with Aniridia to qualify for it. We have always known that this condition could be passed along biologically, and for a long time we believed our only path to parenthood would be traditional adoption. But embryo adoption offers a beautiful possibility—one that allows us to experience pregnancy and parenthood together while giving us the chance to protect a future child from experiencing the difficulties that [Her name] has faced. The gift of that opportunity is something we hold with deep gratitude.

 

In our family we hope to instill values of kindness, respect, loyalty, creativity, hopefulness, and caring for others and the world around us. We fully believe that everyone deserves a good life. For us, a good life means having a community who loves you, meaningful experiences, and things that bring you joy and fulfillment. We believe that it really does take a village to love, nourish and raise a child to be an awesome adult. We are so fortunate to have two incredible families—and the wider “village” around them to help us along the way.

 

We dream of creating our own family traditions, learning with our child, making mistakes and apologizing, celebrating small joys, and cherishing tender moments. We are so excited to celebrate all of the birthdays, and holidays, get to know the friends that we will make and enjoy the trips that we will take together. More than anything, we dream of guiding a child as they grow into who they are meant to be—supporting them, encouraging them, and loving them every step of the way.
