Me and my spouse met 14 years ago, she was a caregiver from the moment I met her. She cared very deeply for helping others and babysitting kiddos. I knew from then on I wanted children with her. We took our time to get married about .3 years after a year of dating. We waited a little longer to try to start trying for children. As time went on about 2 to 3 years of not conceiving we decided to look into IVF and found it was more than we could budget at the time after purchasing our house. We then started fostering children with DHHS after two long placements which didn't work out due to children going back to relatives and trauma children not being able to get services which were beyond our means. So we recently found out we are possibly able to become parents after 10 years of trying with the process through embryo donation and are very excited to be given an opportunity to start a forever family.

I leave early in the morning before the sun rises to start my day, my spouse leaves after the sun comes up Monday thru Friday. We love the weekends to spend making breakfast and sitting and having quiet time before we start our day with one of our hobbies hiking , biking , kayaking , golf , or going for a walk. In the evenings we enjoy cooking dinner catching up on our days, then we settle in watching a show or movie followed by light reading before sleeping.

Me and my spouse celebrate holidays with family meals. Most are hosted at our house as we like to cook and have a great space after we remodeled our house 2 years ago to support larger family gatherings. Each year we buy a real tree, decorate it and open gifts with family on christmas day.

Me and my spouse have a variety of family members where some enjoy spending casual time with us such as sharing a meal or some of our family members enjoy hiking, fishing, golf, or vacationing with us.

I work full time and own a small business. My time is limited but with the spare time I have I make full use of making it count with family and my spouse. Being able to have a set schedule has made me able to not miss out on much precious time with family.

My wife works full time at a daycare, where she is the lead teacher in the toddler room from ages 1 to 2.5 years old for the last 4 years. The previous 6 years she was a teacher's aide in the tweener room 2.5 years to 4 years olds. She has lots of experience with younger children. Some days she comes home more tired than others.

We purchased our house 11 years ago and we knew it was on the smaller side 800 square feet it took many years but we added onto our house 2 years ago with 450 square feet so we could have more space for children to join our home.
