First we would like to take a moment to thank you for considering our profile as a possible match. We would not have this beautiful route of growing our family without your wonderful donation. The process of trying to grow our family has been a long road that has been wrought with so many emotions. We have been trying to conceive through IVF for several years now. We have been through a combined 3 egg retrievals. The first attempt unfortunately resulted in no eggs being retrieved. It was a very hard experience to go through emotionally when we found out that one of us does not produce any eggs, but rather, just empty follicles. The second egg retrieval resulted in 6 eggs being retrieved, leading to 2 embryos. We attempted a FET with both embryos being implanted at the same time and went through the 2 week wait. Sadly, these embryos did not stick and we were devastated. Egg retrieval number 3 seemed to bring us so much more hope, as we were able to retrieve 21 eggs and end up with 7 embryos! Due to the failure of our previous FET, it was suggested these embryos undergo PGT testing. This is where we were devastated yet again, as all embryos came back genetically abnormal and not viable for transfer. We felt so lost, sad, angry, confused… It felt like we should give up, but that isn’t who we are! Despite all the obstacles we have faced, we know we are meant to be parents. We will not give up on our dream of a beautiful family.

Right now our family consists of the two of us, a married couple, and our little poodle mixed breed dog. We currently live in a small suburb, but our dream is to build a home in the country with some land where our children can have room to run. Both of us were raised in rural areas in the country and want the same for our children. We will likely build somewhere close to where we live now, as both of our families, and most of our friends, live in this area and being near them is very important to us. Coming from large families, we want our children to experience the same closeness with their extended family as we did growing up. Our kids will be surrounded by so much love thanks to all of our family and friends! We know this journey is one we could not do without their love and support.

While we do work very hard at our respective jobs, one of us works healthcare and the other works at a nuclear power plant, we are much more excited to tell you about what we do for fun! Some of our favorite things to do include swimming, fishing, watching sports (either cheering on nieces and nephews playing locally, or watching big games on T.V.), playing board games or hosting game nights, attending/hosting bonfires or BBQs, and any other activity that allows us to spend quality time with family and friends. Nothing makes us happier than being around the people we care about most to share laughter and make good memories.

We cannot tell you how excited we are to have this opportunity to grow our family. Please know we have so much love to give our future children.
