Tell us about your children. What do they like to do for fun?

I don't have my own children but I spend a lot of time with my 10 nieces and nephews. The oldest is 24 and the youngest is 3. They are and have always been the biggest joys of my life :) My oldest nephew just turned 24 and he is on his way to become a brilliant lawyer- we always tell him he is a future Supreme Court Justice. Next in line, my niece is 23, she is married with her own baby girl and another one on the way! She is beautiful and creative, and I literally watched her grow up since the day she was born (I was the camera woman in the delivery room!) I always tell her I didn't know what love meant until I saw her baby face being born. My next niece is 22, just about to graduate college in the Spring, she spends her summers with me and we bond over her love of Vampire Diaries and TikTok. Then, my next 4 nephews were born (it was boy season)- 20, 18, 17, and 14. The 20 year old is the entrepreneur of the family, who promises he will be a billionaire and keep our family in style always. The 18 and 17 year old are on the quiet side, still finding their way- they're happiest watching or playing a basketball game. The 14 year old and youngest of the brood, is the most outspoken and confident (having always been around older kids), and we have been besties since the day he was born. My baby brother then had 2 babies who are now 4 and 3. His 4 year old daughter, is the most gorgeous brilliant little girl- she captures everyone's heart. His son has the biggest blue eyes and long lashes that just make us all melt. And I said before my oldest niece has a baby girl who I facetime regularly and has me wrapped around her finger like all the rest of them :)

Letter

INTRO LETTER

I have spent a lot of time thinking about how to start this letter-- this most important letter to people who are giving me the biggest gift of all. So I wanted to begin by saying thank you. Thank you for what you are doing, thank you for considering me, and I promise you that I will love and cherish our child.

A little bit about me- I grew up in [State], in a Middle Eastern family, with 1 sister and 2 brothers. My family is close knit, and my weekends as a kid were spent at my grandparents with all my cousins. We are still really close as adults, and speak daily on our extended family group chat we call "Fam Jam."

I went to college, became a lawyer, and then decided to move closer to my sister and run my brother-in-law's business because my sister was busy raising all her 5 kiddos. As I said previously, I am a super involved "cool" (I hope) aunt, and spent a lot of time with my nieces and nephews. Actually part of the reason I moved closer to my sister is because it was hard for me to far away from her kids. Needless to say, all I ever wanted was to have kids of my own, and I couldn't wait for it to be my turn to have a family.

Unfortunately, finding Mr. Right proved a bit challenging for me. When I finally thought it had happened, he let me know that he had no interest in having children, so long story short, that didn't work out the way I had hoped.

So at the start of the COVID pandemic, when it was more than obvious how precious life is, I finally decided I could no longer wait and it was time to start my family on my own. I made my appointment at an IVF clinic, and started doing the long battery of tests to assess my ability to have children. Luckily, all my lab results came back great! My doctor warned me that although I had good results, I was still older and no one could predict the quality of the eggs-- but I am always super optimistic and hopeful so I disregarded all his "warnings. " I opted to try IUI treatments first, and I honestly thought I would get pregnant on the first try without a problem. After two unsuccessful IUI attempts, my doctor said I should try IVF treaments. My first egg retrieval, I had 12 eggs and 3 embryos, all genetically abnormal. I tried again, so sure this time would be different. And, it seemed it was. I got 22 eggs and 7 embryos!! Devastingly, they were all abnormal too. Then I started doing a ton of research on what my options were, and I found embryo adoption, which is the answer I was looking for. The thought of providing a loving and supportive home to a child who might not otherwise have the opportunity to be born resonates deeply with me, and I believe that it would be a truly meaningful and fulfilling path to parenthood.

I understand that embryo adoption can be a complex and challenging process, but I am committed to doing everything in my power to make it a success. I have consulted with medical professionals and adoption agencies, researched the legal and ethical aspects of embryo adoption, and taken steps to ensure that I am emotionally and financially prepared for this journey. I believe that my experiences have prepared me well for the challenges of parenthood and that I have the capacity, dedication, and love to be an excellent parent. I am excited about the prospect of building a family through embryo adoption and am eager to embark on this journey.

Thank you again for considering me :)

REFERENCE LETTER 1

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this as a letter of reference for the applicant for embryo adoption. I am in a unique position to judge the applicant as she is my younger sister and I know her for her entire life. I have seen her in many different situations and conditions and I can honestly say there is no better person in this world. She is the most caring, loving, intuitive, positive, and spiritual person I know. In every way she has been a second mother to my children (truthfully I think they like her better). She has literally done it all from changing diapers to college graduation and everything in between. She has done the same for my siblings’ children as well. She has an incredible warmth that draws children to her—they all adore her. Even now as my children are becoming budding adults they often confide in her and ask her advice.

Aside from her parenting skills, she is just an incredible person. She is the definition of a giver—always looking to give and to help others. She’s a problem solver and wants to be the one to fix everything—and she usually does. She is incredibly responsible and single handedly runs our business. Nothing is beyond her capabilities. She takes on challenges with a smile and a true faith that everything is for the best.

I really don’t have the words to express how lucky any child of hers would be. The most loved. The most cherished. The most nurtured. In addition, she has an incredible support system including my family and my siblings families to help her love, cherish and nurture her child like she did for us. You could have no better applicant.

REFERENCE LETTER 2

I am writing this reference letter on behalf of my sister-in-law, who is seeking to adopt an embryo. As a family member, I have had the pleasure of knowing her for many years, and I can attest to her character, commitment, and compassion.

I have watched my sister-in-law over the years- specifically her interactions with my children, and it is clear that she has a natural affinity for nurturing and caring for others. She is always the first to offer help, support, and guidance whenever it is needed, and her generosity and kindness have touched the lives of many.

As her brother-in-law, I can say with confidence that she has always been a dependable and trustworthy person, with an unwavering commitment to her values and principles. She is a thoughtful and considerate individual, with a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility.

I wholeheartedly endorse her application for embryo adoption and believe that she has the capacity, dedication, and love to be an excellent parent.

REFERENCE LETTER 3

I am writing this reference letter on behalf of my colleague and friend, who I have known both personally and professionally for 15 years and can attest to her strong desire to be a mother.

As a colleague, I have had the pleasure of working closely with the applicant on numerous projects, and I can say without hesitation that she is a highly responsible, organized, and reliable individual. She always approaches her tasks with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond.

On a personal level, I have witnessed firsthand her unwavering commitment to family and loved ones. Three years ago, I had a son who was born prematurely at 23 weeks, and I could always count on her for support, and she is still one of his biggest cheer leaders. She has a deep understanding of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive. I literally tell her all the time how she needs to be a mother!

I wholeheartedly endorse her application for embryo adoption and I know her child would be so lucky to have her as a mother.
