Hello and hope this letter finds you well. Just wanted to give you a small glimpse into our journey and family as of now. In 2021, we started our journey to conceiving a child that not only us but, our children could enjoy. We knew that this step would be one that the Lord would delight in and so would we. Started out by visiting the local OBGYN to make sure conception would not be an issue medically. All checked out well. After a year of no conception, we decided to see about something to help us greater the chances so we started on Clomid. Once we started Clomid we tried three IUIS at the regular OBGYN that were unsuccessful before venturing on to a infertility clinic. After talking with the OBGYN, with the doctors advise we decided to see an infertility specialist. Started seeing the inferility specialist which advised us both to have many blood test and counts done. This specialist does IVF and IUIS up to the age of 51 as long as everything checks out medically. Went and had cardiologist check my heart as well as went back to the OBGYN to be checked physically. Again everything with my health was great and insurance was still covering a major part of it. During this time of the excitement of a child coming to our home, we added an additon to our home so that all children would have their own room, including the expectant child. Even have a crib and clothes for the anticapated arrival. Began the IUI journey at the fertility specialist that again played out unsuccessful. After praying and giving it some time to make a decision we then decided upon IVF. Started birth control and then waiting on the approval to come thru from the insurance as I am sure you are aware of the expense of IVF. Recieved a denial from insurance company due to being 5 months over age limit for the insurance. After careful consideration and after consultation with doctor we decided to check out other avenues as to all we wanted was a child to love and add to our family. After doing some research I ran upon this site and set up a consultation to see what all it involved. Due to us paying out of pocket, having a child in college, and also having a son at home we agreed this was the way we needed to go expense wise so that no hardship is credited or added debt. We both have children from past relationships and we both love each others child like our own so we know it will be no problem loving another child that is not blood ours but is ours to love and bring up. I am sure that you have experienced some of the same struggles and understand the rollcoaster that you ride however we are still very hopeful. Our children are very excepting of this journey as well and would love to have another little one to love on.

 

My husband is a supervisor at a plumbing company that he has been out at for 6 years and I am a Victim's Advocate/Paralegal at a Solicitor's office that I have been at for 6 1/2 years. We both throughly enjoy our jobs and bring us so much joy but if I can be honest once we have a baby we have plans of me working from home as that is always something that I have wanted to do and my husband makes enought to support that as well as we have paid all debt off except for our house.

 

During the school week we are a routine type of family so that every one knows what is expected. You know eating breakfast, heading to school/work, coming home, doing homework, sitting down as a family while asking about how everybody's day was, getting baths, family prayer, and then heading to bed. Except for on Wednesday, we do all of that but, also have church. On the weekends is when we get things done that need to be done along with having some fun. Sometimes that looks like family game night, having friends over, or going out and doing activites with the kids. Of course, us parents have to have a healthy relationship so we have a healthy family, so we do date night every other Friday night where we go have dinner and do something we enjoy together.

 

As far as the working schedule goes we have saved some money to the side to accomodate me, as in the lady of the home, being able to go part time or to be able to work from home once my maternity leave is out. I work for the county so I have very good insurance, life insurance, benefits, and leave. Also I have a lot of leway with my job that I am very thankful for. I work for a good group of folks. Plus my mom is retired and so is my husbands mom to be able to help as well.
