INTRO LETTER
My name is [her name], and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share my story and introduce myself. I’m a single woman who has dreamed of becoming a mother for many years. At 38, I began the journey to parenthood through IVF. It’s been a path filled with ups and downs, but also one filled with hope, community, and growth.
I went through six rounds of IVF with three fresh transfers. I even had one positive test, which ended in a chemical pregnancy. It was heartbreaking. My doctor eventually recommended I stop using my own eggs, as my egg quality was affecting success rates. That news brought on a difficult grieving process. I felt as if my body was betraying me. But after a period of reflection, I found acceptance and realized there were other ways to become a mother.
I began researching egg donation, adoption, and then discovered embryo adoption. I remember seeing a news story about a couple donating their embryos to another family struggling with infertility. It was a lightbulb moment. I thought, "There are existing embryos ready to be loved and nurtured in a good home." While I may not be able to have a genetically related child, I have so much love to give and would be incredibly lucky to share my life with a child through embryo adoption.
Over the course of my life, I’ve grown into a responsible and independent woman. I've been on my own since I was 20 years old. My friends and coworkers describe me as dependable, loyal, respectful, and nurturing. I treat close friends like family and have a deep network of support. My community includes not just my siblings, but also my neighbors, who are like extended family. Their children even call me "Aunt [her name]", a role I embrace with joy and pride.
I live in a modest three-bedroom home with plenty of space for a child. I’ve lived here for over 12 years and have built lasting, meaningful relationships with the families around me. We celebrate holidays together, share meals, and support each other. Between my sisters and my neighbors, I have a truly strong and loving village ready to embrace a child.
I work full-time Hybrid position, (with three days a week remote) as a billing rep at an engineering firm. My employer has been incredibly supportive of my path to motherhood and consistently accommodates parents and their needs. I feel confident that my workplace will continue to support me as I grow my family.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I grew up camping with my family and continue that tradition today. I love hiking, kayaking, and swimming and hope to pass on this active lifestyle to a future child. I also volunteer with the NJ Boxer rescue organization and have fostered several dogs. I adopted a dog a few years back and she is very good with children.
Family is the most important part of my life. I was raised in a loving home as the youngest of five siblings as well as the youngest cousin, so I have always had great mentors to learn from and look up to. My mother was Jewish, my father Protestant. We celebrated holidays from both traditions casually, but I was always taught the importance of kindness, generosity, and compassion. I lost my mother at 18, a formative experience that shaped my independence and strength.
Throughout my adult life, I’ve made it a priority to build strong, stable relationships. I’m a devoted aunt and godmother. I’ve even chosen godparents for my future child, my close friends , who have three wonderful children and deeply rooted family values.
Thank you for considering me as a potential parent. I know I have the heart, the home, and the community to give a child a beautiful life filled with love, support, and opportunity.
With warmth and gratitude,
REFERENCE LETTER 1
To Whom it May Concern,
I’ve had the joy of knowing my friend [her name] for over 20 years. We started out as coworkers and quickly formed a strong bond that’s only grown over time. As life unfolded, we experienced many different phases together and created countless fun memories along the way.
[her name] is the kind of friend everyone hopes for—reliable, loyal, and always ready to drop everything to help someone she cares about. Family and friends mean the world to her, and she shows that in everything she does.
As I got married and started a family, [her name] embraced a new role with open arms—Fun Aunt [her name]. From the moment I told her I was pregnant, she claimed the title proudly. Whether I needed a babysitter or just someone to lean on during life’s chaos, she was there without hesitation.
Now, she’s Aunt [her name] not only to my three children, but to so many others as well. Blood relation doesn’t matter—she treats every child with the same love and care. She never misses a birthday or holiday, always going out of her way to make each child feel special. That’s just who she is: someone who gives her whole heart to the people she loves.
[her name] is truly a wonderful person, and I know in my heart she’ll make an incredible mother one day. When that time comes, I’ll be there to support her through the highs and lows, just as she’s always done for me. It would be a beautiful blessing to welcome a new little one into our circle of friends who have become family.
Sincerely,

She is thoughtful, dependable, and always willing to help others in time of need. I was able to see how big her heart was during our two weeks at Camp Onseyawa, working with children of varying abilities. [her name] was an asset helping the young children adjust to nights away from their parents—and having lots of fun during the day.
