Adoptive parent

I do have addicts that run on both sides of my family starting at grandparents. My mom always hammered that in me so I would not go down that road myself.
I did have genetic testing done to see if I have the "cancer gene" since there have been various cancers on both sides of my family as well. It came back as low risk. I have had a Melanoma spot removed that was an existing mole that had started to change. I have to get regular check-ups at the dermatologist and have had many spots removed since that were suspicious but not Melanomas.

Anything else would you like to mention about your talents, skills, interests

I've dabbled in a little bit of everything here and there. I grew up an athlete and tried different sports. I played volleyball and softball into college at a small Christian University. I continued playing both sports competitively into adulthood in various leagues and tournaments. Our family likes to stay active whether we're at the ballpark or going to the greenway to ride bikes together. But I also enjoy my quiet time such as reading or watching a movie. I've recently started dabbling in photography, mainly because the cost to order kids pictures at schools is getting so expensive, but it's something I really enjoy.

I am good with my hands. I like to build things and fix things. I grew up an athlete, playing mostly baseball, and I continued playing competitively into adulthood. I am now coaching my sons t-ball team, and I've helped coach my oldest son's baseball team. I also played football in high school and played many different positions.
I love to fish and hunt. Those are what I would consider my "down-time" activities, though I do like to read and do puzzles as well.
I am left-handed, and our youngest son is as well.

Anything else would you like to mention about your talents, skills, interests

My father had a heart-attack at age 60. He was in pretty good shape, so had a relatively easy recovery. He also has thrombophilia. There is concern with my mom exhibiting signs of minor signs of dementia, but there has not been a diagnosis yet.
