Dear Donor Family,

We want to thank you so much for taking the time to review our profile and get to know us! We hope that through this letter you will be able to see into our daily lives, our story, and who we are as a family.

We have been married for almost 6 years and have known each other for 10 years. We met briefly through mutual friends in 2016 and then reconnected later in 2018, after which we started dating. We had a long-distance relationship, as we lived in different states until (husband’s name) moved to the same state for work and to be closer. While we were engaged, (wife’s name) was in college but had always had the desire to be a wife and mother, so when (husband’s name) moved to be closer we decided to go ahead and get married. We got engaged in the spring of 2020 and were married later that year in the fall.

Our desire was to have children very soon after getting married but the Lord had a different path for us. Within the first year of our marriage, (wife’s name) began struggling with health complicationsand pain. After a long journey trying to figure out what was happening, she was diagnosed with Endometriosis and underwent exploratory surgery. We were so grateful to finally have answers for what was happening in her body. After the surgery, the surgeon was very encouraged and believed we would be able to conceive children soon after, but again God had another path for us. (Wife’s name) had some complications arise after surgery due to reactions to the medications from the surgery and it caused her healing time to be much longer than expected. We decided to make her healing and our health a priority in life and we began a major overhaul of our diet and lifestyle. We began clean/organic eating and focused on nourishing our bodies, as well as creating a lifestyle that encouraged a joy-filled, stress-reduced environment.

We were able to conceive one time in 2022. It was a blissful time as we started preparing for our baby but soon after finding out, (wife’s name) began having complications. At our 8-week ultrasound, we found that (wife’s name) had miscarried due to a blighted ovum. There were difficulties during the miscarriage process that required (wife’s name) to need a D&C procedure. It was heartbreaking for us and was a trial we never thought we would walk through.

We have since both pursued getting our bodies into the best place they can be health-wise, with the hopes of future pregnancies. We have both undergone hormone panels and blood work, as well as uterine evaluations for (wife’s name), to try and find what the cause of our infertility journey could be related to. As of yet, there is no clear medical reason for our infertility.

We started praying about the direction the Lord had for us in the next steps of our fertility journey and the possibility of adoption. At this time, a couple learned of our story and reached out to us regarding embryo adoption. They had completed their family after IVF and had an embryo they wanted to donate to us. Unfortunately, while in the early stages of the donation process, there were complications with the embryo and the embryo didn’t make it. Even though our hearts were broken over the loss of this precious life, we trusted that God had all of this in His hands.

We have truly felt our hearts drawn to embryo adoption, and that is what has led us here.

We would love to give you some insight into who we are as a family:

We live in a very quiet neighborhood just on the outskirts of town. We love it here because we get the best of both worlds by having the perks of shopping and town close by, while also living in a slow-paced area. Even though we are in a neighborhood, it’s quiet and we have a very spacious front and back yard. One of our favorite things to do is go for walks around our neighborhood and town (we have a wonderful coffee shop we spend quite a bit of time at that we can walk to). Our home style is minimalistic yet cozy. We want our home to be a place that you always feel welcome and restful when entering. We have two spare rooms and can’t wait for the day we can turn our plans for one of them into a baby room! We have two outdoor cats that are very friendly, as well as a few chickens (we love having fresh eggs daily).

We live very close to siblings, nieces and nephews, and parents, which allows us to see them on a weekly basis. They are all an incredible support system to us, as we have a very close family relationship. We love gathering at (wife’s name)’s parents’ house, as they have a spacious home on land that allows for large family dinners and get-togethers!

(Wife’s name) started photography as a hobby in college and then turned that passion into a business. I focus predominantly on photographing couples, as I love documenting their love stories. Couples photography not only gives me a creative outlet I thoroughly enjoy, but I also love the flexibility I have in setting my own schedule. It allows me to be able to be a stay-at-home wife and prayerfully, future mother while also running a small business. Aside from photography, I also love anything that is creative. I love working on my pottery wheel and with watercolors.

(Husband’s name) has always been an entrepreneur and started his own construction company in 2020 and it has been steadily growing since. My hobbies outside of work are mountaineering (I was able to hike one of the tallest mountains in the lower 48, which was incredible), kayaking, and exploring new places.

We are both fairly active people. We love traveling, whenever we are able, as well as taking walks and biking together. We also love to vacation in both the mountains and at the ocean, so we love to hike and surf while there.

At the center of our lives is our Christian faith. Our relationship with the Lord is primary to who we are. We are very involved with our small local church and love the support and encouragement we receive from our church family.
