The donor had 3 children, who were conceived naturally, not from the batch of the embryos donated: a girl and 2 boys. The girl is the oldest. The middle boy was born prematurally and subsequently died. Their daughter has been diagnosed with a functioning autism. She struggles to understand social cues; and at 6 years old she is still learning to talk. However, she has great memory and is very smart. The youngest boy is 3 years old, is smart and normally developing. The female donor is a carrier for sickle cell. Her husband does not carry this gene. The female donor's mom had breast cancer at 46 y.o. (recovered).
