I would like to disclose that I am BRCA-2 positive which means I have a genetic mutation that predisposes me to certain cancers. My mother, my uncle, and my sister have it as well. We do not currently have a history of these cancers. As a result, I underwent a preventative mastectomy in 2022. My children do have a 50/50 chance of also having it. They would have access to early screening and detection if they are positive, but their pediatrician indicated that they would not be screened until they are adults.

I do have chronic migraines, but are well controlled with medication.
