INTRO LETTER
Dear Donor,
I hope this letter finds you well and thank you for taking the time to read my letter to you.
I’m writing to introduce myself and to let you know that after much consideration and reflection, I’ve chosen to pursue embryo adoption as a path to build the family I’ve always dreamed of. I am a single heterosexual woman with a deep desire to become a mother. My journey with IVF has had incredible highs and lows with IVF and Surrogacy. I would be happy to discuss this in more detail when we meet. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t do any good to dwell on the past, I want to keep moving forward with my process - I have two incredible and proven surrogates that are ready for transfer. My plan is to move forward with both surrogates with a single embryo transfer with each surrogate. Hopefully, trying twice as hard will increase my chances of becoming a mom.
As someone who has always wanted to experience the joy and love of raising a child, I am committed to providing a nurturing, supportive, and loving home. I truly believe that every child deserves a family where they can feel safe, cherished, loved and encouraged to reach their fullest potential.
I understand that the road to motherhood can come with challenges, and my decision to pursue embryo adoption reflects my willingness to embrace this unique and special path. I am excited about the possibility of welcoming a child into my life and giving them a warm, stable environment where they can thrive.
I am especially so excited to experience life with my child – going through homework together, playing sports, attending plays/concerts/recitals, traveling the world, and being that mom that cheers on my child when they have a performance or a game. I would also like to mention that I have traveled to over 50 countries and look forward to traveling even more when I have a child and show them the world.
I am East Indian and grew up in a very loving and liberal family. My dad grew up in India, my mom grew up in Tanzania and my brother and I were born in the Middle East. I grew up having a good balance of being able to enjoy the sports that I love while really focusing on education as my primary priority. Education is very important in my family and our value system; I want to make sure that my children will get the support and education that they need to pursue their dreams. I have planned my life in a way where I can work and also be a full-time single parent. I am an entrepreneur with my own businesses and my brother is a spine and orthopedic surgeon. My parents also have successful careers in business and on the medical side.
Throughout this process, I’ve been committed to ensuring that the journey is one of love and respect. I welcome the opportunity to build a relationship with you and would be honored to receive your embryos, knowing that this decision could offer both of us the chance to make a meaningful difference in each other’s lives.
Thank you for considering me as a potential parent, and maybe even an extension of each other as a chosen family. I look forward to the opportunity to start this incredible journey of motherhood.
Sincerely,
Intended Mom
REFERENCE LETTER 1
To Whom It May Concern,
With the greatest enthusiasm, my husband and I write this letter in support of our very close friend as she pursues the adoption of an embryo. We have known her for over twenty-five years and can attest to her exceptional character, kindness, and unwavering dedication to creating a loving and nurturing home. Her home has always been a central meeting place for everyone to feel at home.
She is incredibly compassionate, responsible, and a thoughtful individual. Her natural ability to connect with others, her patience, and her deep sense of empathy make her ideally suited to parenthood. She has a remarkable talent for creating an environment where people feel valued, safe, and loved—a quality that will undoubtedly translate into her role as a parent, as she is an amazing friend.
In addition to her many personal strengths, she has a robust support network, including many loved ones. My husband and I are fortunate to be considered part of her extended family, and we are committed to being active, loving uncles to her future child. Her family and friends share her values and are equally excited to provide a supportive and enriching community for the child she will welcome into her life. Many of her friends and family have children, went through the adoption and IVF process, and will be available to guide her in every way.
Her dedication to building a stable, joyful, and enriching life for a child is clear in the thought and care she has put into this process. Whether it’s her ability to provide emotional security, her sense of humor that brightens every room, or her deep-seated commitment to helping others thrive, she embodies the qualities that every child deserves in a parent. She has a stable career, home, and lifestyle.
We wholeheartedly support our amazing friend in this journey and have no doubt that she will be an extraordinary parent.
Sincerely,
S & M
REFERENCE LETTER 2
To Whom It May Concern,
We are writing this letter to offer our wholehearted and enthusiastic recommendation for our daughter, as she pursues the opportunity for embryo donation. We have had the privilege of watching our daughter grow into a kind, compassionate, successful and responsible individual, and we firmly believe that she will provide a nurturing and loving home for a child(ren).
Throughout our daughter’s life, she has shown remarkable character, intelligence and resilience. She is strong and has faced life’s challenges with grace and determination, and her journey toward parenthood has been a testament to her mental strength, commitment, and deep desire to build a family. We are there to back her up with this decision and are proudly excited to become grandparents through this process.
Our daughter has always displayed qualities that we know will make her an exceptional parent, even as a single mom. She is patient, empathetic, and supportive, with a strong moral compass and a deep respect for others. Her home is filled with warmth and love, and she has a close-knit circle of family and friends ready to support her in this journey.
Our daughter is an amazing aunt to her niece and nephew as well as her friends’ children who are also added chosen family in her circle. She is an amazing dog mom to her rescue pup, Lilly. She has a natural ability to connect with and care for others, especially with Children and animals. She enjoys teaching kids and sneaking in math problems and quizzes when she’s with her niece and nephew. Her dedication to building a stable and loving environment reflects the values we have instilled in our children and the family culture they cherish.
We are confident that she will provide a child with the love, security, and guidance every child deserves. We fully support her decision to pursue embryo donation and know she is ready and eager to embrace the joys and responsibilities of parenthood. We are also excited to be grandparents to our daughter’s child(ren).
Please feel free to reach out, we're excited to meet you if you wish to connect.
Sincerely,
Mom and Dad
REFERENCE LETTER 3
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter of support on behalf of our amazing friend. She and I met nearly 15 years ago through a mutual friend shortly after I moved to Chicago from the east coast. She quickly became one of my closest friends. We’ve celebrated many milestones together, including birthdays, graduations, my wedding, and the births of my children. She has always there for me and my family and I could not ask for a sweeter, more supportive friend.
For as long as I have known her, she has wanted a family of her own and has always been family-centric. She has always loved children and I find great joy watching her interact and play with my two sons (now 6 years old and 5 years old). My boys get so excited when Auntie visits- she is very hands on, interactive, and caring with them, and I trust her with them unconditionally.
I have absolutely no doubt that she will be a phenomenal mother. She has had plenty of exposure to children (nieces, nephews, neighbors, and children of friends) and understands the challenges of parenthood. She has a very extensive network to help her on this journey as a single-parent, including two very kind, active, and loving parents, her brother and his family, extended family, and a village of friends who will drop anything for her and her child(ren). This speaks to her character- she is one of the most loyal people I know; in turn, her village has her back and will always be there for her.
She is incredibly motivated, dedicated and driven. She is a very hard worker which I have seen first-hand through her colleagues and clients. The respect and admiration they have for her is unparalleled. That said, she’s at the point in her life where she wants to take a step back to focus on raising a family. She has planned for this for a long time and will be able to provide a very comfortable life for her child(ren). Her child(ren) will never be at a loss for any need. She will be able to take her child(ren) to amazing places and do other fun family-friendly activities to create memories to last a lifetime, all while ensuring her child(ren) remain grounded. Financially, she is very responsible and also very fortunate that she has a stable job and high income to provide an amazingly fortunate life for her family.
I strongly urge you to consider our close friend on her journey to motherhood. She has so much love to give and her future child(ren) will be so lucky to have her as their mother!
