Tell us about your children. What do they like to do for fun?

Both children have strong social friendships, emotional intelligence, and they both do a good job of balancing their social and work lives while succeeding academically, and maintaining educational scholarships. Our son is a wonderful big brother with many hobbies, he's friendly to all, and he's a gifted artist with art honors. Our daughter is a leader in her activities, she has great patience and enjoys helping others, she is always up for a challenge. They would be wonderful influences on younger siblings.

Letter

INTRO LETTER

Hello! Thank you for your family’s journey that has led us here, and for taking the time to consider us to receive your donated embryo(s). We understand it is not an easy decision and hope you will choose us to help add to our amazing family!

Our first child was born while we were in our early 20’s, and we welcomed our second shortly after. We fully embraced parenthood and worked hard to give our children the best start in life we possibly could as an active-duty military family. We had always wanted more children but decided we would instead add to our family through adoption someday after the military. When we discovered embryo donation, it immediately became clear to us, this would be the perfect fit for our family.

We have raised two kind, generous, thoughtful, conscientious, responsible, and intelligent young adults. Our oldest son is at university on scholarship and our youngest daughter is shortly behind him. It has been a great honor and responsibility to watch them grow into the lovely unique people they are.

Our goal is to raise two more children, hopefully twins, or a second shortly after a singleton for them to have a sibling close in age. While they will already have an amazing big brother and sister, we would like our children to grow up in a house with a sibling.

As a family we love to spend time together outside, camping, swimming, playing games, traveling, watching movies, and enjoying good food! Our family loves animals and nature. We foster respect and care for other living things and our environment.

We believe in nurturing children to grow and mature into the wonderful individuals they are meant to be. We encourage responsibility, and independence, but also teach the importance of knowing it’s ok to need help and how to ask for it, as well as the importance of teamwork. Our family believes in tolerance and understanding of others, because everyone has their own experiences in life, and that it’s important to be compassionate and understanding of others.

We have a large single-family home with a large, fenced yard. We live in a family friendly area in a great school district. We are fortunate to be at a point where we both work from home with flexible schedules. I have about 15 years of professional childcare experience, completing the highest levels of early childcare education training the military childcare programs offers. We both have had government security clearances. All our children will have military education benefits. We hold a high regard for continuing education and support them on whatever path they would want to follow by starting education savings accounts for our children at birth.

REFERENCE LETTER 1

Hello,

This couple has my unwavering endorsement and strongest recommendation for your

consideration. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter about our good friends. They are

wonderful people who have become family to us and I hope you will consider helping them

expand their family. We have known them for 9 years. They have been there for us throughout

our parenting journey. They’ve offered both friendship and guidance over that time while raising

their own two children. Their two amazing children have become aspiring young adults

themselves.

Their family’s foundation starts with their marriage. I think it’s important to point out that they

have known each other more than half of their lives and have been married for 18 years. They

have built their entire lives together through the hardships and challenges that come with being

a military family to growing into a successful small business owner. The fact that their two

children are taking the next step into becoming successful young adults excelling in the final

days of high school and early years of undergraduate school are a reflection of the examples

that they have provided. Not only do they have a great marriage that works well together but

they also work together from home. Working from home will give them more time with their

future babies and also the flexibility that will allow for helping each other as needed with a

newborn(s).

She has worked with children her entire life as a caregiver in a variety of capacities as a loving

mother, daycare provider, nannie, and even a dependable babysitter for us as a friend. When I

had my first daughter she was the only one I trusted my baby with. As a new mom I was too

nervous and overprotective, but I would trust them with any, and all of my children then and

today. She loves kids and was always a source of support to myself and my husband as a

military family also removed from our own family members. Their children take after them one

and the same. My children look forward to them visiting as they immediately jump in with my

kids coloring, drawing pictures for them, and playing. Any child would be lucky to have older

siblings as attentive and supportive as they are.

He is an excellent father. He has grown personally and professionally to provide for his family.

He has enriched his childrens’ lives through travel and experiences due to his continued

success. He’s level headed, and driven to ensure his family’s needs are never left unmet.

They have worked very hard to provide a stable, and enriching home for each other and their

children. I have no doubt they have more love to give while expanding their family. Their own

children are a testament to their family centric life, and I would trust my own children in their

care without reservation.

REFERENCE LETTER 2

I have been asked by my niece and her husband to provide a reference for them as they seek an embryo donor.

I have the privilege of being her aunt. I have known her husband since they began dating.

Since childhood, our niece has been a wonderful part of our lives. She has grown into a caring, competent and independent women. She faced difficulties as a young adult with a quiet strength of purpose and dignity.

Her husband has achieved personal and professional growth through hard work, diligence, and my niece’s faith in him.

Shortly before her husband joined the military they became parents, and welcomed their second shortly after. They learned to rely on each other, and parent their children without the benefit of family being close by.

Since they moved closer to us, I have had the privilege of seeing them raise their two wonderful children. The children are in one word, awesome. ( I don’t think I’m prejudiced.) Watching them interact as a family is a joy. Their children are becoming confident, independent, and caring adults.

They have spent a lot of time thinking about raising another child. My niece and I have had several conversations over the last year discussing the pros and cons.

I believe my niece and her husband would continue to be loving, caring, and competent parents. If it takes a village, I stand by to be an additional grandmother.
