My daughter is a happy, cheery, and sweet child. I call her my angel baby because she is so thoughtful, wise, and kind. She is very creative and has a huge craft selection for when she wants to get creative. She is into crocheting stuffed animals now but also loves painting and doing science experiments. Ages 6-8 she enjoyed and participated in gymnastics. Then ages 8-11 she played on a girls' soccer team. She then ventured into theatre, cheerleading and ski club this year and last. She enjoys the less stressful, safer, more focused learning environment of the private school she attends. She gets good grades (3.5 average GPA) and is offered a plethora of extracurricular activities to try. She has a good group of close friends that all support one another in a healthy way. She has found a love for writing fiction stories and has participated in short story contests. She also babysits on weekends periodically for two families. She will be the best big sister.

Letter

INTRO LETTER

Dear Donor Parents,

My name is [Her name], and I am the intended mother working with Embryo Solutions to grow my family through embryo adoption. As part of this deeply meaningful process, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and say thank you for the selfless decision to donate your embryos to open a door I could only dream of walking through.

This letter is my heartfelt way of sharing who I am, the life we're building, and how profoundly your gift resonates with my own journey. I hope it brings you a glimpse of the love and gratitude waiting on this side, and perhaps a sense of peace knowing your embryos will be cherished in a home full of faith, love, laughter, and unwavering support.

I'm a single mom to my amazing 13-year-old daughter, who came into our lives naturally during a previous marriage. Another chapter ended when my then-husband and I couldn't align on our dreams for more children and get through the challenges of infertility. Despite our long infertility journey, I was not ready to give up hope for another child. Through prayer and reflection, I've felt a clear calling from the Lord to expand our family —this time as a single mother by choice.

As a chaplain with a master's degree in chaplaincy, my faith in Christ is the compass of my life. It sustains me in my work supporting others through their interfaith journeys, offering compassionate counsel focusing on emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing, grief support and even celebrating joys and milestones. Embryo adoption feels like a beautiful alignment of His plan and is nothing short of miraculous.

Our home is a warm house with sunlit rooms, a welcoming kitchen for all the cooking and baking my daughter and I do. We have a fenced in backyard with a garden. It’s perfect for enjoying our sprinkler and blowing bubbles in the summer or winter snow angels and building snowmen. There's ample space, including extra bedrooms ready for little feet to fill them! So yes, we'd have room for this child to grow alongside their big sister (who's already beaming with excitement about teaching someone how to build the best blanket forts and camp out in the living room with).

We live in a very safe, caring neighborhood with that classic Midwest feel. We are surrounded by neighbors who help snow blow driveways in winter and mow lawns in summer, always looking out for one another. The city itself is safe and family-oriented. We are just blocks from an elementary school and only a few blocks from my daughter's private school (where any future child would attend as well). Safety is always my top priority, and this community makes it easy to feel secure and connected.

Life here is a mix of quiet, wind down evenings with books or watching feel-good movies, to spontaneous ice cream runs, singing contests and being creative and crafty. We love baking cookies and cakes together. On school nights, I frequently cook homemade traditional meals like casseroles, stir fry or pasta dishes.

Our weekend rhythm includes going to Sunday church service, followed by a relaxing brunch and a bit of shopping. This is currently our favorite way to recharge and enjoy each other's company before the week starts. Holidays are traditional and sacred in that they ground us in togetherness with God and family. Christmas looks like evening church mass, stringing popcorn for the tree while sipping hot cocoa, and decorating the tree together while watching holiday classic cartoon movies like Rudolph and Frosty. Easter is one of my favorite holidays as you can guess. We attend morning service and hunt for eggs and Easter baskets with my sisters and nieces and nephews. Thanksgiving gathers my parents, sisters, and closest friends around the table for stories, love and laughter. We celebrate birthdays with homemade cakes, always singing Happy Birthday (no matter the age), and presents galore. It's about connection with family, faith, and those simple joys that make our house a home.

In the summers, we spend hours swimming at nearby lakes, picnicking and playing at parks, and heading to the driving range for some fun swings. Winters bring ice skating and building snowmen in the yard. We also love painting on canvas as a family activity; it's creative, relaxing, and something we'll definitely do with baby foot and hand prints to capture those tiny moments forever! I am so excited to do all the fun things with our sweet baby that I loved doing with my daughter, like children's play places, park days, glamping, zoo trips, aquariums, and all those little kid adventures that make such fun memories.

My career as a chaplain brings purpose, financial stability and flexibility. I am able to create my own weekly schedule and can flex around the needs of my family. I cover comprehensive health, dental, vision and life insurance for us and any future children. I've always poured my heart into raising my daughter. She's thriving, kind-hearted, creative and thoughtful. With a stable job, financial security, and a rock-solid circle of family and friends nearby (including 13 nieces and nephews- plenty of cousins for baby), I'm more than ready to welcome another child. My daughter’s father and I maintain a positive, respectful co-parenting relationship that provides consistent stability for her. He is supportive and respectful of my desire to grow my family. I'm also in long-term sobriety, which brings incredible clarity, strength, and peace to my life and parenting. We love taking family vacations and weekend getaways. Traveling together creates unforgettable memories and turns any destination into a home away from home.

What draws me closest to your story is my own journey with IVF. My journey entailed using donor male gametes. I walked that road myself not long ago, full of hope. Like you, I went through the injections, ultrasounds, biting my nails waiting for results that felt like an eternity, the rollercoaster of emotions and many prayers. I can only imagine the triumphs and heartaches you faced on your journey. Unfortunately, my eggs came back abnormally from PGT testing and were not able to be transferred. Going through that tremendous and ultimately heartbreaking IVF journey opened my eyes to paths like this one and donors like you, who have been able to restore my hopes and dreams. Your journey, with your extra embryos, now becomes my everything. I relate so deeply to the resilience it takes to be on a fertility journey. I share with you that deep desire and commitment to grow my family. I'm endlessly grateful for your choice to pass forward your blessing.

I've thoughtfully considered every layer of embryo adoption—openness about origins, emotional readiness, and how to weave this story into our family's tapestry with love and truth. My daughter knows and embraces it all; we're in this with open hearts and have had many excited talks about baby names and whose going to give the most kisses!

Thank you doesn't begin to cover it. Your embryos aren't just a medical gift—they're a chance for me to mother again, and a sibling for my daughter. Your consideration changes everything in my life in the most amazing way.

With deepest gratitude and warmest prayers,
