Dear Donor Family,

We are A. and K., and we dream of raising children in a home full of family, love, and laughter. Thank you for taking the time to read through this letter and get to know us. The short version is that we met in middle school, dated all through high school, and got married in college. Our lives have been intertwined for a long time, and we are still absolutely head over heels for one another. This season of infertility has not been easy—it’s been full of questions, anger, and frustration. But through prayer, wise counsel, and our loving families, we’ve been able to remain joyful and hopeful.

I [His name] am the youngest of three brothers, and I love having them in my life—especially now that we’re older. My parents are loving and kind. They conveniently live just down the road from [Her name] parents. I [Her name] have wonderful parents and grandparents, plus three younger siblings and younger cousins—so holidays with my family are still energetic and playful!

Our favorite holiday is Christmas. We love baking and decorating cookies, playing silly Christmas games, and gathering for big family meals. Thanksgiving is just as meaningful. One of our family traditions is sharing what we’re thankful for. At times that’s been hard because of infertility, but those moments remind us that this storm isn’t the end. We are surrounded by so much to be grateful for—our families, friends, church, and God’s faithfulness.

When we discovered embryo adoption, it gave us hope that the children we long for might come through the gift of another family’s generosity. Jesus’ grace has covered the brokenness of our hearts, and His love has carried us through the brokenness of our bodies. We have always wanted children to love, raise, and share our lives with. Because we know what it is to be loved undeservingly, we can’t wait to pour that kind of love into our future kids.

[His name] serves as a youth pastor, and [Her name] is a nurse. We love our jobs and the flexibility they give us to be present with a family. Even though we’ve moved far past the “dating” stage, we’ve never stopped dating—sometimes it’s dinner and a movie, and other times it’s grabbing pizza and tackling a hard sudoku together. We also love outdoor adventures like whitewater rafting, beach trips, kayaking, and exploring new places like New York City. [His name] enjoys pickleball, disc golf, and woodworking. [her name] enjoys puzzles, baking, cooking, hiking, and cozy movie nights. We also share our home with two cats who love to cuddle and play.

When we bought our house, we had children in mind—a big backyard, a safe neighborhood, and plenty of space to grow. Thank you for even considering us. Your decision to preserve life and give this opportunity means more than words can say.
