INTRO LETTER
Dear donors,
We want to thank you for your compassionate choice to donate your embryos and to give them a chance at life. This is a selfless decision and speaks volumes to who you are. To give people another chance to have a baby is the greatest gift you could possibly give. We hope that you'll consider us as your embryo recipients.
We are fortunate enough to have been blessed with a 14 year old daughter who has been the light of our lives. I was a single mom for the first 10 years of her life before I met my husband. For those 10 years it was just her and I. We’ve always been best friends, even now as she goes into her teenage years. We've raised her to care deeply about everyone, no matter their background, to try and bring positivity into the world, and care about the world around her.
My husband and I met in September of 2020 at work. Shortly after we met I introduced him to my daughter. They bonded right away and that's when I knew we were meant to be together. We got engaged in October of 2021 and married in September of 2022. We were both at points in life where we knew who we were and what we wanted. That always included growing our family. We immediately started trying for a baby. Since I already had a daughter we never imagined that we’d struggle to conceive. We've had multiple miscarriages before starting IVF in October 2023. Our first cycle failed. We took some time before starting a 2nd cycle in April 2024. Unfortunately even after our 2nd egg retrieval we were left with zero embryos and no answers, just unexplained infertility.
It’s been a bumpy ride on this journey to expand our family. We have so much love to give. We want to experience pregnancy and raising a child together. Our daughter wants nothing more than to be a big sister.
My husband and I are both driven by making a difference. I collect life saving blood products and my husband tests samples for colon cancer. We are raising our daughter with the same values. It matters deeply to us to be kind, to do what’s right, and to make a difference.
We are very family oriented, and spend a lot of quality time together. We enjoy kayaking, hiking, gardening, going on road trips, visiting family, and playing games. We also love to vacation, and see and learn about nature, history. and art. On vacations we always gravitate to activities like whale watching, visiting zoo's, hiking in the national parks, and visiting museums of art and history.
We have a strong support system in place and spend most weekends visiting our families. My husbands parents live nearby, and are amazingly supportive of us. They have done a lot to try to help us grow our family and are super excited to have more grandchildren. His grandparents also live nearby and love to hold family get-togethers for Holidays and just for fun. We often visit my hometown, where my grandma, brother and great aunt, who's like a second mother to me, live. My grandma loves kids and looks forward to another child joining the family. My brother and I have a close relationship and he is a wonderful uncle to our daughter.
Last July, my husband and I purchased a home together in a suburb of the city where we work. Our home is 3 bedrooms with 2 baths. We bought a large house in anticipation of growing our family. It's a quiet town, but with enough activities for families to enjoy. We enjoy going to fairs, art shows, and live only 2 blocks from a beautiful park where we love to go biking, play on the swings, long boarding, and on walks with our dog. Getting out of the city has been a great choice for our daughters education. We came to the suburb right before she started high school, and she has been super successful in this new school system thanks to less stress due to smaller classes, more 1:1 time with teachers, a great group of friends, and her own motivation. We live close to the college she wants to attend as an art major. We're extremely proud of her!
If we're lucky enough for you to choose to help us grow our family, just know that this child will be loved unconditionally, supported fully, and raised with strong values.
REFERENCE LETTER 1
I think my parents are a great option because they are very supportive of me, and are always there when I need them. They love to have fun and bond together by dancing or playing games, but they also make sure that I am keeping up with school and chores. They often check in on me to make sure I'm doing good, and are always there to comfort me when I'm feeling down. I feel like I can talk to them about anything. I couldn't imagine having better parents then them, they really are my best friends.
I would love to become a big sister. I have always wanted to be a big sister. I got so excited both times my mom was pregnant because I thought my wish was really going to come true, and when she lost the babies it was really hard to think that I might never get to be one. I think it would be nice to have someone I can look after and play with. I love to make art, and I think it would be fun being able to teach a younger sibling how to draw or paint. I have many friends who have siblings, and have always felt as if I was missing out by being an only child.
I love spending time with my parents by helping cook. My parents make great food and love to try new things, they are always expirementing with new recipes. We also like to hang out like playing games, we will often play competitive games like Mario party or Scrabble, which makes for fun bonding time. We love to have fun together as a family. If you choose us just know the baby will be so loved and taken care of.
REFERENCE LETTER 2
I’m writing this reference letter to recommend my son, and his wife, as adoptive parents for an embryo. They both have amazing parenting skills and love their daughter. Since meeting and marrying his wife, my son has gladly stepped into the roll of father. They have dreamed of adding another child to their family. Watching them survive the disappointment of a miscarriages and two rounds of IVF has been heartbreaking. I would do anything to help them achieve their goal of having a baby. Writing this reference is the least I can do to help them achieve that dream.
My son is an intelligent, caring, and responsible father. I have watched him help guide their child through life. He’s taught her how to ride long board, limit her on-line time, encourage her to pursue her artistic talent, discuss solutions to conflicts with her friends, attend school events, teach her how to handle money, and many other life skills.
My daughter in law is a very loving and thoughtful mother. She and their daughter have a special bond. They share everything with each other. They have survived a number of obstacles in life together. I like how they discuss difficult situations to ensure that everyone is being supported.
Both my son and daughter in law have good jobs and they recently bought a home. The only thing missing is a baby.
Writing this letter, I have absolutely no doubt that my son and his wife will create a loving environment for an adopted child. Their daughter is very excited to become a big sister.
REFERENCE LETTER 3
To whom it may concern,
I write on behalf of my wife and me to commend these embryo recipients as adoptive parents for an embryo. They are both worthy individuals to take on the responsibility required to raise a new child.
We believe that what one does is more telling than what one says. If this is true, then what could be more convincing than the fact that they have already, together; raised a beautiful daughter to the age of fourteen. We have known their daughter her entire life. She is smart, well mannered, compassionate and a wonderful artist as well. She manifests all the qualities anyone could want in a daughter. What’s more, she loves and respects her parents.
We believe a child should be wanted. The incredible effort this couple has gone through to have another child clearly demonstrates that this prospective child would be wanted. They first tried for years to have a second child naturally, but those attempts resulted in tragic miscarriages. They then tried two separate rounds of IVF. Again, they were disappointed. This is a couple who tried hard to have another child, ergo the child would definitely be wanted.
We further believe that parents should be hard working and dedicated to supporting their children in every way. In this case both parents are gainfully employed in successful careers and work hard to provide all that is necessary for their daughter to live a good life. What is more, this couple recently bought a larger home in anticipation of having a second child. Again, they show they are prepared and ready to take on the responsibility of having and raising another child.
All of the above considered; we believe that this couple epitomizes the qualities you would want to have in an embryo recipient. We ask that you assist them in realizing their dream.
