To offer a glimpse into our lives, we're proud to share that we come from the beautiful state of West Bengal in India and now call the US our home. Our immigration journey started when we arrived here as eager graduate students, ready for new adventures. It was in Sacramento, California, where our paths first crossed, leading to our wonderful marriage in 2009. Once we completed graduate school with PhDs in Engineering, my husband embraced an exciting industry role, and I took on a rewarding faculty position, staying true to our promise to keep the family united in one location. In January 2017, we were overjoyed to welcome our biological daughter into the world through IUI, adding even more love to our family. Our family is closely knit, and we place considerable value on open communication, shared traditions, and the enjoyment of quality time together. We represent a blend of personalities, each contributing unique strengths and perspectives to our dynamic.

In our free time, we love to travel and participate in the wonderful cultural events by the Bengali Association in our city. Traveling truly brings us joy, giving us the chance to discover new cultures, soak in breathtaking landscapes, and learn from the rich diversity of perspectives around us. As part of the Bengali Association, we joyfully celebrate, participate in, and promote the vibrant cultural heritage of the Bengali community through a variety of exciting cultural events. These include delightful traditional musical and dance programs, captivating stage plays, inspiring poetry readings, and festive celebrations filled with ethnic festivals and delicious food.

Throughout our journey together, we often dreamed of a lovely home with a cheerful picket fence and two wonderful kids to make our family complete. With our shared aspirations for fulfilling careers, we agreed that having two to three children would be just the right fit for us.

Nevertheless, motherhood hasn’t been an easy journey for me! Our first little one came into the world through IUI after we faced unexplained infertility, which made it a bit more challenging. When we were prepared to conceive a second child, the COVID pandemic struck, compelling us to postpone our plans until the situation was stabilized. In 2022, we consulted with my reproductive endocrinologist, who had previously assisted us with our first child. After starting fertility medication and using timed intercourse, we were thrilled to conceive right away, but I unfortunately experienced a miscarriage. Over the past three years, we have undergone several cycles of treatment, including IUI and IVF with embryo transfer. Despite all these efforts, I have not yet been able to conceive. At that point, our doctor recommended considering IVF using either donor eggs or donor embryos. We are dedicated to adding another child to our family, giving our daughter a sibling, and fostering a loving and nurturing environment for any child(ren) born through embryo donation.

We understand the complexities and emotions that come with embryo donation, and we are here to ensure transparency and open communication every step of the way.
