INTRO LETTER

Thank you so much for considering us as the possible recipients and parents of your precious little embryos. While it is difficult to distill who we are in just a few paragraphs we would love to help you get a peek into our lives.

The first thing our friends and family notice about us is how much we adore each other. We live in a small town in a rural part of our state. A moved out of a big city in 2017 to our current state to work at a local hospital as a data analyst. He works on projects that use AI models to flag individuals for high risk conditions to get them screened early.

A grew up with strict observance to Jewish traditions in his household as the son of a rabbi, attending Jewish schools in the area. As he grew up he felt a strong sense of Jewish identity without the need for the trappings of stringent practice. G is a local through and through with deep knowledge of the local towns, schools, and customs of our area. She grew up in a lower income household that was steeped in a deep religious, homeschooled environment with a number of friends she remains close with today. She started to examine her upbringing most critically after a year she spent in Houston in 2016-2017 volunteering to help those who experience homelessness. During that year she came face to face with the real hardships of poverty, and was exposed to diversity of ethnicities, orientations and creeds. Her deep caring empathy forced her to question her beliefs, resulting in her deciding to convert to Judaism with the intent to raise a family in a Jewish household. G's same deep caring and empathy has also been with her professionally as she has spent over a decade working with children in daycares and as a nanny to families over the years. She gets to see children giggle, cry and poop but she loves them with such tenderness each day despite the ache in her heart due to infertility.

We grew up with such different religious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds that it’s a wonder we ever found each other - but we did. We met in the fall of 2019 through a dating app. Funny enough, G wasn’t feeling very confident in her choice of online dating and decided to delete the app the very day she created the profile. The Universe decided it had other plans though, because right at the moment she was ready to delete the app altogether, the one guy she had matched with happened to send her a message asking her a question about The Lord of

the Rings which was listed as one of her interests on the app. Between finding out that we had a lot of common interests in things like fantasy and science fiction and finding out that two of G’s best friends were acquaintances with A, it felt like the right thing to move forward with our relationship and we fell deeply in love.

We had previously bonded over shared values and hobbies – such as a love for fantasy and sci fi fandoms such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings etc. The Covid-19 lockdown also allowed us to develop some of our favorite new hobbies together such as walking and cooking. We enjoy taking walks together soaking in the natural beauty of our area by walking on some of the local trails. We also like to cook cuisines from all around the world.

Observing the Jewish Shabbat dinner on Friday nights has become a meaningful ritual in our lives. While not strictly religious in our Jewish practices, Judaism is very important to our relationship and our home.

Once the world opened up we were able to host friends for dinner parties to celebrate Jewish holidays, most notably Hanukkah and Purim and cooking foods that go along with each of those holidays. We celebrate Passover with [His name] father, brother, and nephews who live a few hours away and also have relatives who host Christmas and Thanksgiving both locally and a few hours away. While not an interfaith couple, we have family members of other faiths and wish to be connected to those family members as well.

We enjoy traveling to relaxing lakes or beaches with friends and family or just on our own. We also have local treasures such as a nearby amusement park nestled in the woods, and a host of friends who have filled our lives with great food, laughs and costumed parties as well as imbued our lives with strong community.

We got married in June of 2022 so excited to set sail on that new adventure together without any clue to the storms not yet on the horizon. In January 2023 we went on our honeymoon to Disney World – we figured we’d go once together before we had kids, while we were still just the two of us. There was never a time in either of our lives when becoming parents wasn’t one of our most important life goals. It’s sometimes hard though to reminisce back to such a joyful period when we never thought our dream of bringing kids to Disney with us in the future might

not come to pass.

Not long after we got back from Disney we started trying and trying…and trying with the help ofmour local fertility clinic. 4 IUIs, 1 chemical pregnancy, 2 egg retrievals, and 0 embryos later we were devastated to find that it doesn’t look like we will ever be able to conceive a baby that is genetically our own. Enter Embryo Solution. After being shattered by the reality of our bleak circumstances we once again have a renewed hope in the possibility of growing our familythrough embryo adoption.

We are currently preparing to move into a new home in a small, nearby town that will have plenty of bedrooms, a nice sized fenced in yard and a pool. We will be living within a half hour drive of G’s parents who will be thrilled to be near their grandchild(ren) and within the same town as some of our close friends who have young children as well.

We hope to raise our child(ren) in an environment in which they know that they are so very loved and so very wanted. We believe strongly in understanding our child’s potential needs and struggles and doing everything we can to give them the best chances at being the best person they can be. We truly aspire to being understanding parents and seeking to give our children the skills that they need to be emotionally healthy and whole.

During this entire rollercoaster we held hope, grief, longing, and tears in our hearts. But we both knew that we had too much love to give for us to stop there. Our genetics weren’t the most important thing – We wanted to raise a child together no matter what. We want to hold their little hands, make them laugh and smile, teach them right from wrong, how to ride a bike, and hold them when they cry. May we be so blessed to lose sleep when they can’t sleep, to practice patience with them when they have a tantrum in the grocery aisle, and to bandage them when they get hurt – all of it is a blessing we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Thank you again for considering us as potential parents for these amazing embryos. We are so grateful for this incredible opportunity.
