CHILDREN DETAIL
Do you have kids?
Biological
How many kids do you have?
4
How old are they?
11, 10, 8, 5
Do they live with you?
Yes
Tell us about your children. What do they like to do for fun?
They are so fun! All of our kids love playing outside (riding bikes, drawing with chalk, jumping on the trampoline, going on walks, make believe games in the playhouse, etc) and playing with our two dogs.
Our 11 year old daughter loves crocheting, reading, sewing, baking, and playing with babies/kids. She is a nurturer and an amazing big sister. She is a grade ahead in math, loves robotics and coding, and wants to be an engineer when she grows up.
Our 10 year old daughter is an artist. She has an incredible talent for portraying a message or emotion in her art. She is hilarious with her quick wit and humor, loves animals and bugs, and wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up.
Our 8 year old daughter is silly, spunky, and curious. She loves to help with whatever you’re doing. She is a foodie (like us), loves trying new things, and wants to own a bakery when she grows up.
Our son is 5 and we adopted him at birth. He loves cars and trucks, bringing mama flowers, and playing t-ball. He loves helping and having a job to do. He is sweet and snuggly but is also all boy and likes to crash his trucks through his sisters’ Barbie house. He desperately wants a little brother to play with! He wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.

INTRO LETTER
Hello!
We are J and C, and we are pursuing embryo adoption because J had a vasectomy about 7 years ago when we thought we were done having children, but we now have decided we want another baby. The success rate for vasectomy reversal isn’t great, so we also looked into traditional adoption again. We currently have 3 biological daughters (ages 11, 10, and 8) and an adopted son (age 5). Many adoption agencies have rejected us because of the number of kids we have, and many rejected because we specifically want a boy. We had decided we would just try the vasectomy reversal when I remembered seeing something about embryo adoption and researched more about it. We realized this could be the perfect solution to grow our family and have a baby brother for our son. We are Caucasian and our adopted son is African American, and we would love to be able to adopt an embryo that could also look different from us to show our son he is not alone and prove that families can have all different shades.
As a family, we love to have fun. We love to travel, play games, have movie nights, go on spontaneous outings and walks after dinner, and play outside together. Game nights can range from Uno or Chutes and Ladders (our son’s favorite) to Monopoly or Mario Kart. It can get pretty competitive in the best way and always creates many laughs. We love taking road trips, exploring new places, and showing the kids more of God’s creation. We have a magnet board hung in our home where we collect magnets from all of our adventures and travels. The kids love looking at it and remembering and talking about the fun times from each trip. We also love to cook, and we place a heavy emphasis on having as many meals as we can together around the table. We love trying new foods – some of our favorites are Indian and Mediterranean! Most of all, we just really love spending time together. No matter what we’re doing, we love doing it together. Also, we believe if you can have a dance party, you should always have the dance party.
J is hardworking and honest. He is silly and playful and loves being able to work from home so he can be around the family throughout the day. He loves making people laugh and is always down for a good light-hearted prank. He is kind and generous, always willing to lend a helping hand to those who need it. He is a Senior Manager at a large global consulting firm, on track to become a partner in the next 2-3 years, and is also currently serving as a deacon at our church. He loves cooking on the grill and would love to open a BBQ restaurant in his retirement – his smoked chicken is the BEST. He loves hunting, fishing, and sports, but above everything else, he loves his family. He would do anything for us, and we are so blessed to have him. He is an amazing dad, husband, and leader of our home.
C is such an incredible mom. She is smart, determined, loving, and considerate. She is a wonderful cook that can create beautiful meals with or without a recipe - some of our favorites have been things she just thought up without any recipe. She cares deeply about eating and providing real, nourishing, whole foods for our family and takes the time to make many of our pantry staples like bread, jam, peanut butter, and others from scratch. She loves to crochet and has even already made a blanket for our future son. She loves sewing, baking, reading, and making our home a place of laughter, creativity, and comfort – a place we all love to be and know we are loved. She is warm, funny, and fits every stereotype of a “sweet, young Southern Gal”. Her parents own a small homestead a half-hour from our home, and she makes it a priority to take our children to their house every week to play with the animals, have a strong relationship with their grandparents, and allow them to “just be kids”. She has homeschooled our kids since the pandemic, and each one of our children is at least a level and a half above where they would be in public school, placing a high priority on having a solid, grounded, and firm education. She is actively involved in our local congregation taking part in the Women’s and Children’s ministries. Recently, she created a “Threads of Grace” Ministry where she organizes events with women to make blankets and similar items and donates them to others in need – from preemie blankets that are donated to local hospitals to prayer blankets for the sick and hats/blankets for the homeless in winter. But, above all, she puts her children and husband before herself, ensuring our home is safe, warm, welcoming, and a place of refuge – not just for us, but for anyone that walks through our front door.
Our families are very involved and active in our lives. C parents, grandparents, and siblings all live within 2 hours of us. She has an older brother, who is married and has 2 kids (12 and 10), and a younger sister. For each grandchild’s birthday, C parents take that child for “Grand-Palooza” and they get to go shopping, go to whatever activities they want like the zoo or arcade, pick the meals, and have a sleepover with Grammy and Grandpa. J family all live in a town about 6 hours away, but we travel frequently to see each other for holidays and life events. He has 2 younger brothers and 1 younger sister. Every summer, the kids also go to Nana and Pawpaw’s house for “Nana Camp” and spend a week with them. We also have even further extended family we see on holidays, and we consider many from our church to be family.
We have been very blessed to find such a loving church home. They have welcomed us and supported us from day one when we first visited. We are very active in our church, with J being a deacon, as mentioned, C is teaching the 2-3 year old bible class this quarter in the children’s ministry, and we host our small group in our home every Sunday that we are able for lunch and fellowship after worship.
We value our religion, our family, our country, and our work, in that order. Our religion drives everything we do – from how we talk, to how we behave, and how we think about the world around us. Our family comes next – we are always there for each other at the drop of a hat, no matter what is going on or where we are, we support each other no matter what. Our country comes third. We are proud Americans and love this great country with all the freedom and blessings it has to offer. Finally, we value hard work, honesty, and integrity. We all have to make a living to support our families, but we believe that no matter what your job is, you give it 125% and become the best employee possible. At the same time, we don’t let work consume our life as we believe in working hard but also enjoying the fruits of your labor.
Some of our traditions are crawfish boils in the spring, a summer roadtrip, opening day hunting trips, daddy/daughter dates, monthly “girl day” and “dude time” (girls with mom to do girly things and boys together to do dude stuff), a family “birthday party” on our anniversary, going to the same drive-through Christmas lights park every year and taking blankets and hot chocolate, and our annual Christmas get together with C side of the family called “Flannel Fest” where we all wear flannel shirts, bring food, play outside games during the day and card games in the evening, sit around the fire and make s’mores at night, and just enjoy the time together as family. This is just a few of the things we do, we have so many little traditions that we couldn’t possibly list them all, but they all have to do with family. That is what’s important. The connection that is built in just being together.
Thank you so much for reading this letter. We hope it gives you a small look into our life. We love our children, we love our parents, we have a stable and happy home, and we can’t wait to bring another precious soul into our life.
With all our love,
J and C
