To the birth parents of an embryo as you consider adoption to a worthy family:

We love them dearly (and are biased, but with good cause!) They are an incredible couple and have already proven themselves to be outstanding parents to our granddaughter, who is now four years old. Things have not worked in that direction and we were excited to learn of their plans to grow their family through embryo adoption. We are on board and fully supportive!

Professionally, [His name] and [Her name] are well established. [His name] is nearing the end of a military career and will soon retire and return to his job as an airline Captain. [Her name] is in strategic marketing and works from home. This allows her flexibility to be available for her family. Together, they have the bandwidth to add a child to their family. Both have master’s degrees and are professionally, emotionally, spiritually and financially ready to grow their family.

But they are also fun. How many Dads have unicorn spa days with their daughters? How many Moms have a bounce house in their family room? Their country farm home is a great setting in which to raise fun kids!

Stable families build emotionally healthy kids who turn into mature adults. We did the math, and it kind of blew us away. Between my wife and I, and our three sons, we have a cumulative total of 91 years of marriage with no divorces. We give God the credit and glory for this solid family and do not take it for granted. [Her name] brother and his wife also will be a great aunt and uncle. This child will come into a loving, nurturing, stable home, and will have an extended family with aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents who will love and nurture him or her well. There are few guarantees in life, but this particular family’s stability points to a rich and fulfilling life with a lot of love for the embryo baby [His name] and [her name] hope to adopt.

We know the decision to donate embryos was probably a tough one, and we want to reassure you that your child will be joining a truly loving, faith-filled home with a great mom and dad, and a truly involved extended family. We hope you’ll carefully consider donating to [His name] and [Her name] and help complete their family, and our extended family.

Our family is geographically spread out, but we work hard at making time to be together regularly. We look forward to adding another little person to the mix!
