Summers in the Poconos - I loved being at our cabin with my family; swimming, hiking, biking, and canoeing. We also frequented Camelback beach for the waterpark or Alpine Slide.

INTRO LETTER
I have always wanted children, however have remained single most of my adult life. I decided to choose the route of embryo adoption because I am pro-life and would prefer to bring a life into the world using resources that have already been created. I appreciate that there are people who are willing to give this gift to people who otherwise would not be able to have a child.
I live on the east coast and have lived in the same town my entire life. I attended the local Universities for both my undergrad and graduate programs. I am a special education teacher in a public high school. I teach vocational skills to students who have autism or other severe disabilities. This work has always been my passion, starting at a young age. My older brother has an autism diagnosis and has required specialized support his entire life. I have seen the impact a teacher can have on a student. When I first started out, I thought I wanted to work with younger students and began as a pre-school and kindergarten teacher. Slowly I moved from lower elementary students to upper elemetary before making the jump to highschool about 5 years ago.
Aside from my older brother, who despite his challenges is thriving, I also have a younger brother who is also a high school career pathway teacher. Both of my brothers live 10-15 minutes from me. My parents are still together (just passed their 40 year anniverssary). They live 5 minutes down the road from me but also have a condo in Florida. They are living their best retired life and are in excelent health - they recently have biked the keys, cruised around South America, and went on safari in Kenya. I have a large extended family, most of whom live just over the state line in the next state over. But I have cousins extending all up and down the east coast from Atlanta to New Hampshire. I also recently adopted the most beautiful and mellow black dog named Remy. She was tranported here from central Mexico after being found in a trashbag on the side of the road. She has a cute little deformed front leg and some scars from the trauma she endured, but is the sweetest girl despite everything.
The most important aspect of my life though is my church family. I attend a non-denominational christian church. All of my values are biblically founded. I am involved regularly and most of my social connections are also from the church. We enjoy knitting at local coffee shops, game nights, and volunteer work. They are my biggest support and I appreciate how involved the community is in each others lives... lending a hand wherever needed.
My home is in a suburban area and is 3 bedrooms 2 and a half bathrooms. I previously had my cousin and her baby daughter living with me for several years during a difficult time their lives. After their departure, my routine shifted from helping to raise a 4 year old to having a lot of free time and free space. I have one of my extra bedrooms decorated and furnished for a little girl and one furnished with neutral decor. I know the space is meant to be filled. And while my current job is a public high school teacher, my plan, when my child is old enough, is to change jobs to one of the nationally ranked local charter schools (we have 2 nationally ranked in the area). During the child's younger years, I plan to remain in high school because the hours would allow me to be home by 3pm each day.
I enjoy being a homebody, taking my dog for neighborhood walks, reading, and going for jogs around my neighborhood. I do occassionally get the travel bug, but typically for volunteer purposes. I have done church building in Belize, taught pre-school and kindergarten in Ghana, and worked with an organization that did orphan prevention in Haiti. I've also been to Spain, Canada, and Mexico as well as tons of domestic travel. I can't wait to share these experiences with a family of my own.
